Didnt read the whole thread, but I wanted to suggest the addition of optional audio warnings for some fights in the game... I sort of like the idea of playing audio warnings for things that impact singple players like gaze on thaladred or the arcane bomb thing astromancer does. This isnt really my own idea, but rather one copied from DBM, which plays the following sequence locally if sound warnings are enabled for astromancer:
if self.Options.SoundWarning then
PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Spells\\PVPFlagTaken.wav");
PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Creature\\HoodWolf\\HoodWolfTransformPlayer01.wav");
end
I think bigwigs could benefit from similar warnings.
i have just recently changed over to bigwigs from deadly boss mod and noticed a couple of nice features missing from certaion bosses.
hyjal summit:
trash: * what tras is coming in the waves, was kinda buggy in dbm, but was nice.
black temple:
naj'enutus: * box showing players lower than 8500hp when sheild is up
* range box for spreading out.
akama: i know its an easy boss, but..
* did not show waves and how many guys you have up for boss to come active.
ill post more if there is other things thats missing.
not really a big deal for akama, but kinda nice to see.
for the hyjal trash timers it only shows the time and next wave. not sure if its in the mod already and not working for us, but showing what mobs are in the coming packs. unless it was just added. we did hyjal early this week.

I see, if you feel like making a big list of what mobs come on what waves for specific mobs I can fix it up.
I don't see why this is strategically needed to help your raid
I believe he is referring to the six Ashtongue Channelers and maybe the Ashtongue Sorcerers that run in to take the Channeler's place. A count of Channeler deaths would be vaguely useful, but I don't know if you could keep track of Sorcerers.

there is a post somewhere, ill try to dig it up for ya and get a full list of trash. i know in the DBM they had it in there, but it was really buggy overall for the timers n such.
yea, thats what i was looking for. the channelers and sorcerers in akama. its not a big deal if it cant be put in, i was just use to it from DBM.
another thing i noticed too on hydross in ssc. for the debuff is goes by percent instead of the number. and would be really nice to have a 10sec warning before the next mark. was really useful to have so the tank knew when to change him over before mark 5. the percent part we can get use to, just missing 10sec warning before the next mark.
overall, love the bossmod. i used it before TBC and then went over to DBM and came back to this one. great job!

I wanted the same if possible :D
Is there a way to show the proximity frame even the boss doesn't "manage" it ? (For Naj'entus)

The marks are only 15 seconds long, as soon as the 4th one is done, start moving. Hunter MDs are 2 minutes cooldown, so 4 full marks is sufficient for the Cooldown to be up. I think the big bar counting down from 15 is sufficient....it's pretty easy to see when the bar says "10".

As Im the author of the WaveTimers part of DBM I kinda like if you explained (either pm me here or post on DBM forums) why it is buggy.
There were 2 wrong mob announces (Wave 4 Anetheron and wave 3 Kaz'rogal which are fixed already) but for the rest it is working 100%
The only problem I can see is that there are either ppl who are using an old version of it OR you are playing on a client which aint supported (zhTW & enGB supported).
Also a small thank you wouldnt be bad, same was asked me on DBM forums as I planned to make a party mod plugin for DBM aswell and to speed it up I used the triggers noted in the LittleWigs addon ;) (Never finished it due to school :()
@ Funkydude:
I know that there was a wavetimer plugin for BigWigs before I released mine. With the knowledge that it was possible to make such I decided to make it for DBM aswell as there were some ppl asking for it (Became my first thing coded in lua)
@ Astaldo:
Reading the DBM forums specialy the DBM_PARTY thread in the suggestions forum. In that thread I got flamed by some1 for forgetting to put in a thanks/credits to the ppl of LW (Even for not giving the authors of it credit while other ppl came with ideas/triggers).
With the above post I didnt point at any author, but I DID point to Thunderheart ;) All he says is that it aint working etc while he never even came to the DBM forums to explain there was something not working. Then he takes it to here with *my* idea without refering back with even a small thank you for even thinking bout implementing it.
Suggesting it to another boss mod is no problem for me, the more ppl who use something I made/invented the more I will be rewarded. But not giving a thanks to the original author but just flaming for a buggy mod (which isnt true) is just bad behaviour imo.
[Edit:]
Prob should have pm'd Thunder instead of making that 1st post here. Hopefully this wont get into a flame thread from here on (Didnt go on DBM forums either, said I was sorry for forgetting it to put it into the original post). Anyway, if you guys decide to implement -> feel free to look into the WaveTimers part of DBM mod etc and Good Luck with it :)
For me timers are more than enough so if something like this list is added please add an option to toggle it and make it disabled by default. After only doing each boss twice we already know the composition of each vague and this thing would just add more things on the screen.

BigWigs has this.
Saroz is working on a warning for when all players are over 8500, but a box will not be added.
I don't see why this is strategically needed to help your raid

That would be very nice, actually!

is it normal that the version check only shows raidusers in you own zone and nothing who are in a different zone.
i think a versionscheck must show all raidusers but it doesn't do that yet!

We've had a trash timer months before dbm, but you already knew that.
Thanks from DBM to Littlewigs for lifting some triggers/timers from LW.
