*peeks* I wasn't sure where to put this, so here goes.
Ever since MSBT allowed me to make arbitrary frames, I've been all over it. :) Can we get the ability to specify which notification frame we want to use for BigWigs via MSBT?
I've got a frame that hovers above where I've moved my BigWigs timers to that shows my spell alerts (I need to try witch hunt..) that I'd rather use than the default notification frame for debuffs and more 'character specific' information.
I mean, I can modify messages.lua everytime I get a new version I suppose (assuming my text editor behaves and doesn't randomly insert bad characters) but since I find myself doing this over and over I thought maybe someone else might want it.
Sally, we don't do that, you can easily do it yourself in a more permanent fashion.
Depending on how you update, create a new SallyMessages.lua and put it in BigWigs\Plugins or BigWigs_Plugins (and add it to the respective TOCs), and create a .svnignore that includes the old Messages.lua, then copy its contents into SallyMessages.lua and modify as it pleases you.
Now, if you use WAU or something such, I have no idea how to do this, but another way is to just create a new addon entirely, just call it BW_SallyMessages and then in that addon, actively hook BigWigsMessages.OnEnable and make sure it doesn't register for the BigWigs_Message event, and you can do whatever you want.
Ok, normally it's inactive until as you said raid leader or I myself activates it... as you can see, I have to manually go to each boss mod, activate the mod, then I get this long list. I did MC without activating these boss mods and I did not see a bar timer for "X-Boss" i.e. Baron Gedon... What I am saying is, prior, these bar timers would just happen, it was nothing I had to manually activate per Boss. And as you can see hovering over it after I get this long list of what's active... I have no problems with reinstalling the mod, erasing my "Saved", in fact doing that right now with the 21198 build
is it possible to get seperate downloads for bigiwigs? saw screenshot where ppl had bigwigs_naxxramas etc?
with the upcoming xp its useless to have the modules/addons for the old content, at least most of it.
ofc i could manually delete those folders everytime i update.
would like a more modular version than the big monster atm.
ah ok. well better than nothing but still need to do it after each update so ;)
would prefer it when you offer each module as an own addon on the ace download page.
would be similar when you have to download every fubar addon and use such a bat file.
then you have bigwigs as a core for boss modules and you can pick what module you wanna have, more usefull later in tbc.
I'll run the debugger tomorrow night when we raid...or do I run it by itself with Bigwigs? Sorry for not completely understanding...
The only problem I am having. like I said, is that the bar timers aren't showing even though they're enabled in each of the boss areas... this happened on Baron Geddon, where the bar timer was not showing, same for Magmadarrs' Fear... The mod informed me when the fear was happening, but the bar timer, was not showing.
