This is already done via the command line option since the original release:
/hc exclude add [Badge of Justice]
A lot of people are tripping over this. I am guessing most people are using the minimap dropdown menu to configure HeadCount so they are missing the command line option. It's easy to overlook so I don't blame people for missing this.
I'm going to prioritize overhauling the exclude list to reduce some pain for users. I'll also see what I can do to add a loot management frame to pop-up when a piece of loot drops so users can more easily manage loot as it drops.
Thanks. Yeah, i'm using the dropdown menu to configure and have been looking for this option. Glad to have it fixed now though and looking forward to the loot management frame.
Thank you for this mod. It's really simple and easy to use!
May i suggest turning raid duration into % of participation?
Like present from start to end = 100%
Those who came in half way or left half way = x%
Participation after DC, AFK = x%
I think currently the attendance is tracked by duration of the raid? The existing coloums are Start time, End time and Duration. Possible to have Start Time, End time and % Attendance? In this way i can average my guildies attendance on a weekly basis in terms of percentage.
We allow those with 75% raid attendance to a /roll for epic gems in the gbank :)

Yea, I can probably show attendance percentage which can be managed as a configuration option. When implemented, this would be on a per raid basis. I don't have plans for gathering and displaying historical data beyond a raid by raid basis for the near future. Added to the wish list.
First of all, great addon, your time and effort are appreciated by many.
I ran this addon for the first time last night, and holy walnuts, I barely had to lift a finger to manage attendance, it was great. That being said, I found that I needed to keep an editor open in the background so I could jot down short notes about certain attendees: excuses for being late, who went above and beyond for the good of the raid (respec'd for a particular fight), etc. After the raid, I then added those notes to the phpbb output that I archive for each raid.
I didn't see this on the wiki Wish List, so I thought I'd throw it out there. I would love a way to add a short note for a given attendee in the Raid Members pane or Member Information pane, and have that note be included in the exported data.
I have never written an addon, so I have no idea how hard this would be, but thank you for considering and keep up the good work.
1. Make the Names of the EQDKP-Export Events editable, e.g. i'd need "Essence of Souls" instead of "Reliquary of Souls" and "Illidari Council" instead of the single Mob names.
2. include Bosses that had no recorded loot (everything sharded) in the EQDKP Export, so people can get DKP for those kills. :)
Also, thanks again for your addon. I've tested it in 3 Raids now and it worked flawlessly.

The first request will be more difficult from an implementation perspective as it would require reworking a way to edit boss events. Wouldn't an easier way just be to edit the CTRT Import for EQdkp triggers in the web site application and rename the Essence of Souls event to Reliquary of Souls? Job done. :)
Which addon version (preferably ACE revision number) are you using and which boss kills are not being tracked? Boss kills should be recording regardless of what loot the addon records.

Sure... if there was not this lazy admin.. *cough* (i hope you read this!)
I'm using r74542, Akama and Bloodboil were not exported, the kills are logged though.
I could send you my savedvariables and/or the EQDKP Export of that Raid... if it helps. :)

If the boss kills were tracked, then this looks to either be an issue of the export string the addon creates or a configuration issue with the web application. If you want to send me a private message with the EQDKP export string and the list of triggers/events in the web site, I will take a look.
Mhm, did you recieve my PM? I can't find it in my outbox, it's a bit confusing...
Nevertheless, we just integrated the new/correct triggers and now RoS and the Council works. Now only the Problem with the lootless Bosses remains. :)
This looks to be a limitation of the CTRT Import plugin for EQdkp. There are two main raid notes. One for the entire raid, and one note per loot received. For each bosskill, the web application looks through the loot notes and parses/collates the loot notes based on the "Raid Note Triggers" configuration. From my initial investigation, there doesn't appear to be a note for bosses, only the raid and each piece of loot received.
What does this probably mean? This means the CTRT Import plugin doesn't appear to generate a boss event if no loot was recorded for that boss which sucks. My advice is when pruning/deleting loot from a given raid before an export, make sure at least one piece of loot is present from that boss for the export. Then just remove the piece of loot before you save the web app form listing of the import in the web application itself.
This is a disappointing workaround, but it's all I have based on the limitations of the CTRT Import application. If this has worked in the past (recorded boss kills without any loot) while using CTRT, I'd be interested in seeing the export string from that raid. Until then, fixing this in HeadCount is out of scope.
That would be useful for sure. It's good to be able to mark stuff as banked or DE'd, even if its a later step. Or just attach them to that pop-up box you were working on for loot cost ;)
I hit a problem on Friday where I was exporting a Kael'thas raid. Unfortunately I kinda forgot to set all the legendary weapons as ignored beforehand, but I figured that as my importer would ignore them automatically, it would be no problem... except it seems there is a limitation on the length of the export string in Headcount? So I didn't get the full string available to copy-paste. I had to go back and manually delete every legendary weapon that was looted within the Headcount (you can imagine how long this took with several wipes ;)) and then exported the string.
I don't think it's a make-or-break issue (I immediately sorted out all the items I wanted to ignore, believe me!), but I hadn't been aware there was a max. length to the string before now.

It's 99,999 characters. I believe the field can be made to have no character limit, but with some consequences. The better solution is for me to rework the exclusion list to exclude Badge of Justice and the Kael weapons by default so this doesn't occur unless people want to track who looted the Kael weapons.
I love using this addon, it is very useful and informative. Might I suggest a few enhancements:
1. The phpBB export format works well as links. I was wondering if you could provide export options for a format that you provide. For example the phpBB format may have an option that would be "Enable Hover-Over Tooltips". By doing so the export format would change from using a url to using the following format in your Exporter.lua:94:
2. It would also be nice if you had general export options regardless of the format selected, that would allow you to enable/disable all or certain boss and player details.
3. Finally, I love the exclusion list, but I had to read the forums to figure out how to use it. It would be neat if HeadCount gave the ability to right-click an item and add it to the exclusion list. Performing this action could also clean up the current active raid of that particular item. Throwing in a frame for exclusion management would be a nice touch with this.
I love the addon and will continue to use it. I was just wanting to provide some input on maybe some future development ideas and suggestions if you are taking any. :)
Just curious, when do you plan on adding the feature that allows standby dkp via /whispers. The only thing that is holding me back from using HeadCount is lack of this feature. I still have to use NRT for this. I really wish i could find a seperate mod just for this feature until Headcount can get this added.

The rollcall feature is high on the feature list, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I am reworking the exclusion list right now to make it more maintainable. After that, the two main features I want to add will be the loot management window and the rollcall ability (guild members whisper you in a defined window of time to be added to the wait list).
I would love to use this, but every time I use it i get all sorts of errors about nil values and what not:
..\AddOns\HeadCount\BossEvent.lua line 22:
AceOO-2.0: Improper self passed to init. You must do MyClass.super.prototype.init(self, ...)
and
..\AddOns\HeadCount\HeadCountFrames.lua line 957:
attempt to index a nil value
and
..\AddOns\HeadCount\HeadCountFrames.lua line 1338:
attempt to index local 'raidTracker' (a nil value)
Basically when i try to open the gui nothing is showing, no raids, no loot, etc, and everything i click brings up a new error.
If classes are not able to be constructed into objects, then everything will fall over in a cascading chain of errors. I would double check if you are running HeadCount with embedded externals or externals loaded as separate addons on their own, specifically Ace2.
Also, I will refresh and download with the latest version of Ace2 to see if I can reproduce this. However, I have had no similar experience with the issue you are currently running into. It looks like since Ace3 is in development, the last time the Ace2 was revised was April 3, 2008, which makes me think this is related to the setup on your particular box.
I would advise looking into your addon directory and making sure everything is in the right place and no old deprecated libraries are in use.

How about a button in the "Manage Loot" GUI to mark the item/the reciever as disenchanted?
Yes, it's in the works to allow loot source to be managed (offspec, bank, disenchanted).
