Ah, I was just about to post and ask if maybe that's the problem. Thanks. I haven't had a chance to sit in front of my computer for more than a couple of minutes to answer email but as soon as I can, I'll get a fix checked in.
@Phanx:
Agree, and that's probably what I'll do. But I think tracking is the easy part, what I'm thinking hard on is the display aspect. One of the things I really like about Acheron is being able to see, line by line, when a certain debuff is on the target and when it isn't. Currently, that's designated by a letter symbol next to each combat log entry in the display. If the report is also displaying when buffs are coming on and off, obviously it starts to get a little crowded, and there would be the issue of deciding how to show the important stuff (and not just in the display but also when outputting to a channel). Maybe there could be an additional dropdown menu that allows you to select from the list of debuffs that were tracked for that report and select one to highlight?

I don't think it's necessary to tack on buffs to every entry; it's quite sufficient to see the aura gain and loss events, as from there it's obvious that the aura was active on all events in between. Or, if the report doesn't extend back to the gain event, seeing a loss event followed by three huge hits in a row and tank death, it's fairly obvious that the buff was up until it was lost. ;)
My right-click menu does not contain any entries for Acheron after install. I've tried disabling all other addons - still nothing.
/acheron show works perfectly.
Very disappointed with the removal of the right-click player menu entry. After trying out the LDB option (with StatBlockCore) & the command line, have found those nowhere near as intuitive to use as the right-click. Add it back and retain the two new options?
Also, a problem. First raid since the Sept 5 changes (r81427, standalone libs, 2.4.3 Live, USEng), a Kara badge run. One new offtank died after a trash pull (the only death of that pull). I was within range of the person, but the person was not accessible via the Acheron menu at all. The name did not appear in the drop down list, ever.
Closed the window & reopened, did that a couple more times up to 5 minutes later, he never showed up in the Acheron list. The person was in the raid since the beginning. Same thing with a couple of other deaths throughout the run. A couple showed up, a couple did not (that I was within range of).
I agree why take away the option? Also since your last update I can't use it at all. When I load it it screws up all my other mods and makes my UI unusable. Haven't figured out the conflict yet.
I'd like to see absolute health in the display and report rather than just the tooltip, makes it a bit easier to track tank deaths and the like, when "50%" or such is still a large number.
Is it possible to move the "Clear All" button a tad further to the right, away from the drop down menu? A couple of times already I have accidentally hit the Clear All button rather than the drop down menu.
That is annoying, isn't it? I've done it a couple of times myself. Unfortunately, AceGUI is a bit coarse-grained when it comes to how you can position widgets on the UI, so I may have to do some hackery to move it. I'll see what I can do.
I doubt there will be a minimap button, since there is already a DataBroker plugin that doesn't require embedding a bloated and display-specific thing like FuBarPlugin.
Thanks for the praise, Menju, much appreciated. Unfortunately, Phanx is right. I added the LDB support so that everyone could have a launcher-type button from the display addon of their choosing. If you run any of those (StatBlocks, Fortress, ButtonBin, etc), you should be good to go.
BTW, I have some changes coded to address some of the comments above, but I haven't been able to test them because I'm not actually able to get into WoW right now. AT&T has a router issue somewhere between me and Blizzard, and while I can get most anywhere else on the interwebs, I can't get into WoW. :(
I don't think anyone's written a minimap button display for DataBroker yet... might be something to post in the addon ideas forum if you're into really minimap buttons.
Acheron-81739
- reorganized filter and report options in main UI, and separated 'Clear All' from everything else to avoid accidental clears
- added option to report absolute health instead of percentage in report entries
- added option to filter only healing or only damage
If there are any special debuffs worth noting that may contribute to a death, they'll be noted like (S) or (D) next to the combat log entry while they apply. If you hover your tooltip over an individual entry that has that denoted, it will say more specifically what the debuff is.
(Note that as soon as I've done some more raid testing tonight, all that will change with my next check in :)
Acheron-81801
- revamped aura tracking: instead of tracking hard-coded debuffs, users can now configure black lists and white lists for both buffs and debuffs to be tracked.
- added filter options to main UI for buffs and debuffs to go with new aura tracking

Never experienced a problem like that before.

Any plans to add an optional icon to the minimap?
