The recent commit added in the AceLibrary embed, but didn't update the embeds.xml file to load it. Have a couple guild members with no other addons who mentioned getting an error in Dewdrop.
My main testing for this branch is now complete. I'm going to be merging in with the main trunk over the next day and doing one final round of tests to make sure the merge didn't bork something else up. Expect a new beta sometime in the next ... say, 72 hours or so.
I am the GM of my guild and we use SKG and went to update it and now my skg is completely black??? I can't get it to work at all .. My proxy can still use his but he is only shows as proxy while in a raid group, all other times it shows him as User.. How can I fix this. I've tried everything I can think of like removing it from my addon's and wow folder, rebooting and starting wow again then logging out downloading it again and then restarting to log in.. HELP??!!?? Please lol
not really directly related, but our guild is gonna start uld10 relativily soon, and i would like to use skg_web, tho i dont really want to provide web access from my "ip", was wondering if anyone has got this running at a low cost from some shell or simmular.

I would recommend waiting a couple of days, and then moving to the version that supports the new security method. I should be posting that as beta in a day or so. That should *at least* fix problems of the security settings changing on your users/admins/etc. Once that is resolved, we can try an address whatever else is still happening.
3.2.1-beta released a few minutes ago. This implements the new security model, and you will be reminded of that by a popup in-game. As mentioned in the thread above, this definitely changes the manner in which Syncer status is granted (as well as removing the now obsolete "P" and "A" security ranks). Please go here for details on the new security:
I just wanted to pop in here and say that the new 3.2.1-beta version with Guild Info authentication is working GREAT! We've successfully raided two or three weeks in a row with absolutely no problems. Everyone has kept their permissions and we've smoothly been able to keep in sync even through discos without losing any information. Fantastic work, thank you SO much for fixing that for everyone, Zhinjio!! /hug

Yeah, the synching does seem a lot more reliable since the security change, though I don't know if any changes were actually made to that code. Regardless the security changes have been really helpful for us as we were constantly losing permissions before and our GM isn't online for every raid.
I've read through this forum, and a lot of the help. I have been known to not see things right in front of me, so please forgive me for asking a question that seems to be common knowledge.
How can I add another "admin" to SKG? Or add it to a certain rank?

A few things I haven't figured out, we're looking at using this since it pretty well matches the loot system we want to use. We've messed around with it in 5-mans but don't want to take it into a 10- or higher in case we screw something up.
1) Is there a way to handle distributing loot as master looter from the bid panel? Either automatically once the bid has been closed (or ideally after the ML verifies or accepts the result)?
2) Is there any way to configure how spammy it is? It doesn't seem to have a standard config panel under the Interface > Addons tab. For example, I don't want it to announce every incoming bid. I didn't find an option for this at all when clicking on the big button or the data broker plugin.
3) The "Force Retraction" button doesn't seem to work. We were playing in a heroic (in a 5-man raid group) and the raid leader/master looter said the button was lit but it didn't do anything. When I test it solo, I can't seem to even make it light up (in a raid with just offline characters from the earlier raid, so I'm just assuming I can't force retract my own bid).
4) Is there a way to open/close bids on a timer? Is there a way to stop accepting new bids without declaring the winner? I'm wary of taking the final say out of the hands of people and giving it to the mod, and as such I'm worried about somebody sneaking in a last-minute bid and then saying "actually, no wait, it's better for you, never mind." Then we have to manually un-suicide somebody. If there's a positive answer to 1), there could be even more of a headache.
5) From what I've seen, it seems like I can freely switch between lists before opening for bids. For example, switching between a main-spec and off-spec list. I read somewhere (in one of this thread, wowi comments, or docs) that this isn't possible/shouldn't be done, but I'm guessing that was for a previous version?
Thanks for any help/advice, I've read through the docs but it didn't seem to address any of the features here, and I don't know if that's because none of the features exist or just that the documentation doesn't cover it.
OK, if I'm off on any of this, maybe Zhinjio will be around soon to correct me... but maybe this will help answer some of your questions in the meantime.
1) No, I don't believe this is currently possible.
2) Not that I'm aware of.
3) Not sure what you're referring to here... I don't recall seeing a "Force Retract", but maybe I overlooked it. On the bidding panel itself, the Bid and Retract are just for you, yourself to Bid and Retract your own bids from what I've gathered. Also, make sure you have been added to the "permission" list to be able to make modifications to the lists. Without permissions, you can only bid and retract through the addon when a bid is opened by someone with permissions.
4) No timer included in the addon, but something I believe has been asked for over in the ticketing system for the addon, so it's a known feature request. Once the bid is closed, the list is changed, and the "winner" is suicided. Hiding the "spam" isn't going to change this, so you'll still need to manually fix lists in your example.
5) Switching list BEFORE opening for bids isn't an issue. Switching a list WHILE open for bids causes issues. Closing the bid would still apply to the list that was selected when the bid was opened, not whatever list you currently have selected. So, if you run say a main spec and an off spec list and want to change lists (no bids for main spec, for instance), you first need to close the bid, then switch lists and open the bid again once the new list has been selected.

I would expect it to be used in cases where the master looter for some reason needed to override somebody and tell them they can't bid. I don't foresee this being something our raid would need to do, so it isn't much of an issue, I was just hoping for a clarification on how it worked or verification that it isn't working.

Okay, so this part works pretty intuitively and the warnings were either against trying to switch mid-bid or something else. Thanks.
Yeah, I was in-game some time after my post and noticed the button for Force Retract. Can't say I've ever tried it, so not sure if it's functional, and/or what it's intended use is as of this time. It would seem to make sense for it to work as you suggested, to force someone's bid off the table.
Thanks for the clarifications, sounds like I should go through the tickets and do some voting/adding.
What I'm referring to is the button shown on this page: http://www.wowace.com/addons/skg/images/5-bid-panel/

NYI. There's stub code in there to allow. Its one of those things that I thought might be needed, it got back burnered, and then noone asked me to put the code in to make it work. *grin*
Is skg usable for people who is not in the same guild as me? We have 2 'external' players in our raids. Can we still use SKG?
External people can be in the raid, and participate in using the system in so far as they can whisper bids/retracts and be in lists and such. But they can't really run the addon and be able to use it effectively, nor can they be "admins".
