I have been using this for a while and really like it, while others in the guild where complaining about the ctraid lag after 2.0 came out I was fine. :)
I don't like the fact that promoted people in the raid can effectively search for anything in my / everyones backpack and have turned off the item search (one more plus to ora2), however is it possible to have a setting that will report reagents and pots if they search for them, which I don't care that they know how many I have.
My CL blames ctraid bugs for the "incorrect" count that I return and I don't correct them, but I think they will work it out eventually.
Thanks alot for this addon and keep up the good work.
I have suggested it before but never got any response so reposting in case it just got missed.
Would it be possible to implement a filter that gets rid of all the keyword whispers when using the keyword invitations? As it is now people who send other tells than the keyword gets drowned in spam.
On another note the auto promotion seems a bit shaky. Often times it does not promote all those on the promotion list. I cannot give any specifics as to when it happens sadly. I will stay on the lookout for any logic behind it.
Feature request to add a growth(grow up) option to both the Cooldown and Resurrection Monitors. I like to place all my raid stuff near the bottom of my UI, so it makes it easier to setup a layout if there's an option to make the monitors show up above the anchors.
But have been hearing about an issue from our "main" MT as well as a couple of others after I recommended we move to this (& sRaidFrames) from CTRA.
In smaller raids (UBRS, ZG, AQ20), a couple of our MTs really don't like the inability to remove the frame window/bar showing themselves & other MTs. The ToT etc. windows are fine, though. Its the raid leader(s) who redirect target traffic here, not the MTs.
The basis of the complaint is that CTRA allows you to hide the MT frames, while still leaving the ToT, etc. ones up. In the latest oRA2 versions (currently r23203), the only frame you can hide is the ToT one. When the MTs are set, you get the frame(s) for them, whether you want them or not.
So could we have an option to remove the MT frames while leaving the others up? Having that will get more of our MTs to switch from CTRA :).
When my raidleader was doing item checks tonight, he could still see my Ony Cloak in my bag after it was equiped.
Correct. I switched from needless bagscan to a simple GetItemCount() function call. Optimization. But it will now see all your equipment including worn items.
Fair enough, optimization is why I moved to oRA2 :). The problem with that, is my guild does item checks to make sure everyone has thier Ony cloaks on at the drakes. Which with being the only one with oRA2, I'm showing as having one, so they assume I don't have mine on. Is there something different that could be done for Ony cloaks in specific? I don't know of any other time you have to equip a certain item like that and the raid leaders might be checking to see if it's on.
Kinda missing the point. :p
First of all, being dishonest isn't something I'm good at, nor good practice. My RL knows I'm running oRA2. But eventually I would like to approach my GL with this mod and the perks of it, to move the guild over to it. Without being able to check something like Ony cloaks (and who knows what in the xpac) are equip, that arguement won't hold.
The Raid Leader shouldnt even look if people have their Onyxia Scale cloak on at Nef(@other fights its for most classes useless anyway...) after he said 1 time to equip it.
If a person fails the Raid Leader should punish that person or just let him stay dead...
Besides that Mages with IceBlock dont need it atall, just loosing dps if they equip it, because you can just Iceblock before the Shadowflames and you wont get the DoT (Iceblock while you have the DoT wont work)
