Ammo... does your guild have a lot of people using CTRA? I am the raid leader in my guild and everyone else uses CTRA but I have been using oRA and will try oRA2 for you.
The reason I ask is so I can be sure this is a scenario you would like tested... if 99% run CTRA and only 1 runs oRA2
I am the only one in my guild running oRA2(been using for as long as it's been in hte branches) and Bigwigs. I have no problems, and I actually call out most things as BigWigs seems to be more accurate. I've talked to my GM + RaidLeader and they have no problems at all either. It works perfectly with CTRA, don't worry.
thx... I have been using oRA for about a month and love it. So far the only issue I have with oRA2 is some people don't seem to see votes/checks but I bet it's them not me ;)
It doesn't have a UI yet, but it should create a table in the rosterlib unit object called ora_buffs, containing the times a buff runs out indexed by textures.
The module didn't do anything bad in tonights raid, I could even get some bugs fixed... This is how you can get time time left for a unit (unit is RosterLib's unit object, texture the buff's texture as returned by GetUnitBuff()) in seconds (or nil if not know/timed out):
local now, timers, endtime, time = GetTime(), unit["ora_buffs"]
endtime = timers and timers[texture] or 0
time = (endtime > now) and (endtime - now)
As for people not getting readychecks etc, I am an officer in the guild and do readychecks myself and it works just fine. Are you using the FuBar Plugin to issue them or /raready?
I'm a fast typing console guy so the menu might not be debugged properly :)
Had not problems with either the CTRA checks or the one built in WoW.
Come to think of it the maintank frames are a tad confusing the way they are now, intended to change the way they're displayed? Currently they show <MT1> <MT's target>(<MT's targettarget>(If targetstarget is enabled)) instead of the old <MT's target><MT's targettarget>.

Officer and Raid leader here. Ora2 is working as intended from 1 week (branches version). A bit of customization on maint tank frames could help us healers (i'm playing Priest) to switch on tanks. The bars are too much crammed and it requires a lot of precision to target with mouse.
Tried it out tonight for raids. LOVED it , very well coded. But I do agree , MT console ui to set Main tanks would be GREAT advantage for myself being a raid leader. I have tried to move towards addons that have GUI's instead of having to hotkey commands or be forced to type out commands unless there simple like /rardy , /radur ect. Overall love the overall performance in comparision to CTRA , I wont ever go back , unless somehow CTRA2 is insanely awesome and preforms alot better code wise. Thank you for all your work to make this addon as great as it is.
So far, everything seems to be working wonderfully. I haven't run into any problems. Great work. :)
One small feature request: Provide an option for the oRA Resurrection Monitor to grow up instead of down. I would like to basically set the frame title flush with the top of my XRaidStatus frame and have the names of people stack up from there, rather than grow down.

There is a menu, check the Orb of Deception in your Fubar or around your minimap.
I looked at the existing oRA plugin for Clique and I don't see why it wouldn't work with oRA 2. The hooked function has the same name.
I guess I need to try it.
that may be so, but from first hand experience last night I can only say that I tried it out and it did not work, meaning no heals when clicking on the MT bars.
But then I just noticed its already in the TODO.txt, so we will just have to be patient .-)

bump, please give the option to go back to the old oRA MT style, 3 green bars next to each other makes it quite confusing!
I got a prob, i made a raid just to test oRA2 out, i added the maintanks etc, but when i disbanded for some reason i still had the maintank list up, so i relogged to see if that got rid of it but nope it was still there. so to get rid of it in the end i had to make a new raid and manually remove each tank bufore disbanding.

I actually like this layout more than the old one. But I suppose an option for those that want the old style would be nice, in due time :p.
And... is there any way to lock the Resurrection Monitor in place that I've missed...?
There is no option to lock the resurrection monitor atm. I will add to my todo.
As for the MT frames staying up when the raid is disbanded. They don't for me, are you using an english client?

I have experienced this problem too, and yes i am using an english client.
My Frames were still up from the raid i was in when logging out previously. I could form a new group/raid but the MT Frames persisted until changed in a new raid.
Sorry i can't be more help with whats causing it.

- what about different main tank frames layout? i don't like current at all :(
- i miss maintankui, don't like current way to assign tanks
