I simply love this addon! Combined with the database, every heroic is smooth as silk.
I have one request though. I love the "assignment" feature, but I basicly don't want to print that out on every pack. Would it be possible to have a starting info on which icon represents what:
Skull: #1 Tank
Cross: #2 Tank
Circle: #3 Tank
Moon: Sheep
Star: Sap
Triangle: Banish
Based on group composition, so this group has a rogue/mage/warlock. I can simply output this information at the beginning of the raid and everyone is informed of which icon is what CC.
Problem is, it's not guaranteed to be like that. Since we don't have enough marks to always uniquely identify every type of target, this becomes sort of hard to figure out. I mean if you want to do this just make your own macro.
Yeah, I was thinking of making a macro on my own, but I thought that since group compositions vary, it would be easier to have a mod to it for me instead of manually edit my macro for every raid.
I was wondering if you could include a filter to "eclude non elite mobs for marking". I hate marking a trash group and the level 1 rats and snakes get marked accidently as well :)
Level 1 rats and snakes shouldn't be marked since I filter critters. I thought I had a non-elite filter but I guess not. For now just ignore the mobs you don't want marked.
Could it be an option that I missed to select? Last time it happened again that I missselected a snake, just because I wanted to be really quick with marking and in the end I was slower because I had to reset the cache :)
If it would be possible to implement a non-elite mob filter, I could simply mouseover the trash mob group in Karazhan (after oper event, gold street) where about 3 non-elite run around and 1 elite, all in the same pack. As for now, I have to manually select every mob and check if it's an elite mob or not according to mark them.
Please lead me to the right direction when this feature already exists
I've got a couple spots where MM gets auto-enabled when it shouldn't be. The portal between Ghostlands and Plaugelands seems to trigger it in some occasions. Lately, I've been also noticing that entering Stranglethorn seems to be triggering it as well.
Any word on MagicMarker updates for WotLK? With Ulduar looking to again require (or at least encourage) crowd control on trash, this will be in demand.
Well Magic Marker should work fine as it is actually. I use it on occasion. There are some weird issues going on where things aren't cleared correctly that I'm not quite sure what the cause is. It almost seems like there are missing death events (on typical example are the two pre-adds for Thaddius).
Do you have any specific issues that you're seeing in WotLK? Am I missing any new CC methods for example (I think I added Hex and adjusted others)?
Marix, it still works. You need to record Ulduar and also manually enter tank and CC priorities of your guild. This can take quite some time.
I'm probably going to do it for my guild (again, thanks to no backup) and then I'll upload a copy here. I've got all the mobs from Ulduar, just not my crowd control setup.
I ignore the Enslaved Fire Elemental before General Vezax, but when marking up the groups, they are assigned to be tanked. Only had a few groups to really test this on though.
well, have run several runs to populate the db with them, my problem is that it seems to not really care for the settings since tbc.
if i set 3 targets for tanks, and its a group of 8 mobs, where most is possible to cc with several combos, it will just mark up 3 targets,
the ones to tank.
if i change it to 5 tank targets, it marks 5 as tanked,
an8 tank targets, it marks all 8 as tanked.
completely disregarding sheep/sap/and so on
