An interesting suggestion, although spammy, but I don't think I'll be supporting such a functionality.
You see, it is meant to be loot system independent as I can make it, and everyone's position on an item may be more secret ballot on some systems than on others. I do plan on coming out with a loot transparency option, set at the disgression of the raid leader, that will allow the raid members to spy an item and who is expressing interest in it. Obviously, some guilds will want this option toggled "off" based upon how they distribute loot. That's their decision to make.
It is extremely important to me that ORLIC never become a dkp system, but remain a loot communication system. At the same time, I want to keep it lightweight and effective. It's simple context menu driven style, I believe, is important in distributing loot fast and getting to the next pull. Guilds have dungeons to clear out and time schedules to keep. I have to make that work for them. You would be surprised how long people waste on splitting loot, which tends to be a pitfall of the less professional raiding guilds.
Thank you for an awesome addon. We have recently started using the ORLIC and we love it.
I have fielded one request from our guild leader that would make the addon absolutely perfect for us.
Our raid leader is not involved in our loot process. Since using the addon we have given our master looter the raid leader tag and swapped it back and forth as necessary. While it is not a deal breaker for us, it is an annoyance.
Would it be possible to have a setting that would enable the start loot for someone other then the raid leader?
If this is not something you are looking to do with that addon, I would be interested in some guidance for modifying the code so that I may enable this for our guild (Even if it is not clean, and comes with some restrictions on when it can be used, etc.)
Any help would be appreciated. Again thank you
Found what I was looking for, incase anyone else is interested
I remarked out line 83 in Core.lua, this seems to have done the trick.
-- or (not (IsRaidLeader("player") or IsPartyLeader("player") or (GetNumPartyMembers() + GetNumRaidMembers() == 0)) )
I can't get bids to show up. I never get the "Whispers Received" screen that shows interest. I've tried normal, where they just link the item, and secondary where they use a keyword but no luck either way.
Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Occassionally some of the dependencies that get updated through WoWAce get broken by their respective authors and cause ORLIC to fail because its embeds download with them. I'll take a look into this later this week. I'm pretty sure the last version I uploaded was tested & working, but heh, who knows. Sometimes hanging out and updating other Ace2 packages you have will fix things.

strangly enough, i was testing it with jez a few days ago.. and we both had the newest version and everything worked fine(on the sending/receiving tells+setting up dists) but when in a raid with calrich(or kables) running loot(not calorn, worked fine with him) i cant use the primary/secondary buttons to auto-tell for loot.
