At the moment i'm using abilitywatch on two different toons played from the same computer. The problem i'm currently having is that on one toon the warnings result in a shake and flash, which is the desired result. On the other toon i'm unable to get this result. There simply is nothing happening when those abilities that are flagged in the warning section are being used.
I can't for the life of me figure out the problem.
when i have this probllem i fix it the stupid way.
simply copy the wtf folder from the right one to the wrong one. This will carry all mod setting over to the other computer and should solve your problem without requireing you to know what to change.
I've some additional info on the problem, on the char where RBM is malfunctioning, which is on a seperate account, the following errors are given:
Addon action is blocked, RBM tried to call on a protected function: 'Worldframe: ClearAllPoints()'. <in C Code>. In function 'ClearAllPoints'
RBM-2.0.8.$Rev: 77624 $\Core.lua:910: in function <Interface\Addons\RBM\Core.lua:894
and:
Addon action is blocked, RBM tried to call the protected function 'WorldFrame:SetPoint()'.
RBM-2.0.8.$Rev: 77624 $\Core.lua:912: in function
<Interface\AddOns]RBM\Core.lua:894
Buggrabber eventually stops capturing these errors as they happen more frequently than 60 times per minute.
EDIT: The errors actually occur more than 20 times per second.
How do I announce the RBM_BadgeWatch results? I have it enabeled, and all 4 boxes are checked, but it doesn't ever do anything. Having raid assist doesn't seem to make it work either.
i post my UI Compilation on Curse , and a user point out that Rbm/Cooldownwatch completly dont work under deDE. I tryed it out , and he is right. No Skill is availible to track. Is this a problem with the Babble Lib, a Bug or a problem of RBM ?
Someone requested my current RBM.lua. I changed my toon names to their class names because I don't want to make that info public. I don't know if this will leave it in a working state or not.
I just wanted to note that I'm starting to see Cooldown watch not remember the select all button, even with it as char specific profiles. I had originally shifted all of my characters to the realm based profile when I began to notice this, and now with going back to character profiles I'm seeing it still not wanting to remember that check box, not sure why exactly.

more importantly, is it remembering the checkboxes for the individual cooldowns in the dropdown? the select all button is really just a shortcut to checking each of those, so it's not as important that the state of the select all button itself is remembered.
We have a "select all" button, but RBM defaults to all... could we please have a "select none" button too. The more abilities etc that RBM tracks the more I have to go through and eliminate a TON of stuff I don't want bars for.
I'm using Capping and RBM_Capping module, but there's a little problem.
Using capping, you could "click" on bars and send announce to /bg /w or /s (others maybe?).
When you have RBM, isn't possible to click on bars to send "messages".
CooldownWatch also seems to lose talent-gained lowered cooldowns. I am noticing this specifically on Improved Judgement for Ret pally. RBM will update when I go into the Retribution page of the Spellbook, but it will forget that again the next time I log in.
sorry, i'm here again...not sure if anyone has reported this, but after killing any boss (tested in MH tonight...a guildie with the same problem too), everytime you mouseover it, the "Win" music is played.
The rbm files are updated often. You can see it on the files.wowace.com , although minor updates.
Forum is silent the last month , not sure why and im kinda worried my self coz this is a gr8 addon.
Hello, I hope someone keeps updated the mod and that Apopco hasn't gone UA on us. However, I have a question: I've been using RBM for awhile now, and absolutely love it in Arena. However, I've run into a slight complication when I want to customize it even more for my 2s team. What I want is instead of long/short bars, I want a Hostile bar for my enemies' cooldowns and a Friendly bar for my teammates' cooldowns. I've checked the "friendly casts/buffs/etc" for the Friendly bar under Filtering Options, and the opposite for the Hostile bars, but it's not been very successful. =\ For one thing, I've disabled everything but Ability Watch since it seemed like a total combination of the rest. I have Prayer of Mending checked (I'm a priest) in every option for it, and it still doesn't track it when I use it myself on either bar. I guess I'm just horribly confused as to a) If this is possible and b) the specific differences between the plug-in modules. I've looked around but theres no real "How-To" on RBM, and I would make one...however still a little puzzled obviously =) Sorry for the confusion, but please help! Thanks =)
I love the concept of RBM and i would like to use it - especially for arenas - however in its current state there are just too many problems with it to grant its use on rated matches. Just a few examples: Aura gain is tracked but aura fading is not. Say i display barkskin on a frame and it pops up as expected when i gain the buff but the bar remains persistent even though the buff itself got dispelled / cancelled. Same with casting swiftmend: rejuvenation and regrowth timers remain. Lifebloom stacks and durations are tracked properly in the debuff watch module however they are not in ability watch. The timer is not reset when an opponent gains an additional stack and when i target a friendly unit who already had a lifebloom sometimes i get a full bar stuck on the screen. I can't really see a reason to this as pitbull for example shows the correct number of stacks and the combat log clearly displays this too. From the time of the gain it is also easy to deduce time remaining. Another problem is diminishing returns. RBM claims it is 15 seconds, however in practice it is more than that. As far as i know this is a bug for Blizz to be solved, yet RBM should be adapted to the current state. DRTracker for example works flawlessly by erring on the safe side. These are just a few examples but i hope you see where i am going. I know ability watch is not finished and you develop the addon by yourself. I am not demanding nor degrading your work as again the concept of having a single framework for everything that is timers and the customisability is just wonderful. Rather i am trying to point out the fact that in its current state it is not reliable enough and so i would like to enquire whether these things do indeed appear on your list of priorities and when can we hope for a fix.
Also if possible please include a whitelist beside blacklist in "custom labels" filtering, as the lack of it makes configuring a nightmare for people using separate frames to display single buffs. (I prefer everything having a constant place on my UI.)
Evergreen pouch isn't caught by the cooldown plugin, probably because it's not a trinket/wearable, need to add an exception (itemid 11020) for it in CooldownWatch.lua line 451ish
if not (select(9, GetItemInfo(itemID)) == "INVTYPE_TRINKET") then
if itemGroup then
itemLst[itemGroup] = itemGroup
else
if not itemfilterLst[select(7, GetItemInfo(link))] or itemID == "6948" or itemID == "11020" then
itemLst[itemID] = itemName
end
I imagine some may flame me for this post, but that is ok with me. As long as I can solve my issue.
On a clean install of WoW, I decided to try RBM for the first time. Loading up everything seems ok (out of date addons etc) - the config menu is available to me, however, when attempting to create any type of frame nothing shows up. I understand the frame must have information to display, but my debuffs/buffs are not even tracked. Even more maddening, no error messages are displayed (leading me to believe there is something really simple i am missing).
Unless I am missing the point of RBM, can anyone suggest any sort of fix (i am also wading through all the information in this thread, hoping for a gem).
Thanks in advance.

I'm dumb or there's a workaround?
thank you

Anyone else notice this for other abilities?
Kinda annoying and spammy :)
