Were having an issue with our MT disappearing from Omen after the start of a fight. He'll show up fine for the very first moments of the fight (it looks like the Misdirects are being accounted for) then he just disappears from the list. Once the fight is over, he shows back up with 2-3k threat for a few moments, then disappears again. I pulled out his bar to see what it did during the fight, and it basically stayed at the same threat level it was at when he disappeared from the list. Any idea what this might be? I really would hate it if we reverted to KTM, as it is such a resource hog.
Just tried Omen after a guildie recommended it but I'm having a problem with it. I cant see my own or my pets (hunter) threat on the list. Works fine with everyone elses threat but doen not show mine. Tried solo aswell with just the pet out and nothing shows - I see the test bars just fine and both myself and my pet is shown there, have the allways show self option clicked.
Any ideas/suggestions, I'd really like to switch from KTM to this addon.
I have a similar problem with Omen.
While hunting solo Omen works fine, displaying both my warlock and pets threat bars along with the agro gain bar.
In a raid everyones threat except my own is visible. There's no agro gain information for my character (not sure if pet shows as my imp is just a mana battery in raids). If I /console reloadui then it seems to work again.
However, sometimes my character remains listed in Omen once combat is over, and several other players have reported that Omen shows me having impossibly high threat gains (in the order of 7K tps). /console reloadui fixes this sometimes, but not always.
On a related note the Clear Threat options is unavailable unless you're promoted in a raid. Obviously the hoi polloi shouldn't be able to clear threat mid-fight but it would be handy to have a way to clear it when Omen throws a bit of a wobbly.
Im using Omen r45064.18. KTM is installed but disabled (not just hidden) for my main character. I'm using SWStats and SimpleCombatLog. In terms of settings both "publish to KTM" and "display KTM data" are disabled.
All of my mods are updated weekly (by removing old mod folders before copying new mod folders into interface/addons) - the problems above have been taking place for many weeks now. A search for "Threat" in my mods folder only turns up one instance of the threat library folder and it's contents - the one bundled with Omen.
Hoping for a solution as I really like Omen when it works properly :)
The first thing i want to say, realy good job with this project !!!
I followed this project from the start and it only has gotten better and better :D
I only got one little weird thing ... since i convinced my guild to change from KTM too Omen.
When i display 'Show party revisions' some people don't show up as compatible.
Then when i reload my gui, i do it again and totally other people don't show as compatible.
I noticed yesterday too that one person who shows as compatible, had an asterisk behind there name.
So there seems to be a bug in this, although those people are running one of the later versions.
Is there maybe a check only at the beginning of joining a raid or how does this work?
We tried Oman the other night in Kara, and my priest had to disable it. Here's what she had to say:
"For me I had to turn Omen off...it was stopping me from targeting... I realized I actually was targeting BUT when I targetted someone I could not see their little icon like I normally do so had no clue wether my heals were happening correctly or enough I couldnt see health bars."
Any ideas for suggestions? Worked great for everybody else....
Omen simply won't appear/disappear when entering and leaving a group. I uninstalled it through interface and all of the files in the WTF folder and then reinstalled it fresh. The default settings were active with pet so I turned that off and /reloadui and then joined a party. It didn't show. I toggled omen, /reloadui, and then left the party, it didn't disappear.
What is going on? Should I just switch back to KTM because I don't always want it showing and i don't want to have to click to toggle it each time I enter a group/raid.
Is there anyway to make a option to make Omen not have a compact size? like KTM does. Currently it only shows the top bit of box until there are aggro entries into it. Is there anyway to have the entire box show the entire time? If not that fine, its more or less just me wanting to make things in my UI stay clean and pretty :D
@drdimebag
Try the following:
Leave the party if you are in one, disable "Active With Pet", hide the Omen frame and relog.
That solved the problem for me. But don't touch the show/hide Omen button. If you touch it you will have to relog again.
@Antiarc Please make an intuitive option for that and/or fix the bugs with "Active With Pet" and the show/hide button.
Can you please move the Omen and threat version on the config menu or on the tooltip? It is annoying especially when you have the window narrower than the text. It sticks out on the right side and beside that it is not that kind of information that is needed all the time....Or just remove it. I know this isn`t top priority but hardly that this would take more then a few minutes of coding and you would make me happy....
Another thing: Warning on 90% aggro is nice but it will be better if it works on fixed number not percentage. If i get warned when I`m 4000 dmg below the tank it`s ok, but when i get warning when im 20000 away from tank is rather usseless (which happens in a long fights where aggro is bigger
And finally: Can you make the "pullout threat bar" customizable in a way that can show the difference between tank and me? I know it does that, but I would rather see the numbers then percentage....
The threat calculation for Gurtogg Bloodboil's Knockback ("Eject") seemed way off for us tonight - all tanks were running r46673/46712.
Aggro-transistions happened at seemingly random threat-levels after the first knockback - I recall loosing aggro to a tank that showed as 85% on my screen (no knockback occured in this moment), on the other hand I was unable to regain aggro on Gurtogg up to about 150% of his current target. And no, it obviously wasn't a felraged tank in any of these situations.
PS: KTM-parsing was turned off for all of us, everyone in the raid is using Omen.
I just tested omen r45044 thread r46712. And I'm wondering if i do something really wrong as omen is showing me complete corrupt data.
I made a fresh clean addon folder to avoid interferance. I ran some simple tests, solo shaman, show solo activ
a)
Shaman attacking target using Earth Elemental .
Earth Elemental doesn't occure in the omen thread list.
b)
Attacking single target using lightning bolt.
3030 Hit 3k thread, well as i got elemental precision this value is wrong, it should be 2,7k for 10% aggro reduction, older versions of omen did this correctly.
c)
Testing Frostshock to validate, if somethings really broken
Frostshock has it's 200% aggro, but again Elemental Precision is ignored
d)
Healing
Healing Wave for 5k Heal only generates a thread of 200, without any anti healing aggro skills.
Gift of the Naruu produces 200 Thread for 400 Healing.
this last one may be correkt, but sound really strange
I realy like the idee of omen, but in the current state it's just useless.
Just a question from a healer's standpoint. How does Omen decide which enemy's threat table to show me since I practically never target an enemy? Target of Target? Highest threat? It seems to switch a lot.

If you are targeting a friendly player it is the target of target. If you are targeting nobody, it is the "global threat". If your target has no target, it also shows the "global threat". And this is what I think is happening based on what happens to Omen when I'm on my paladin.
I noticed that my Shadowfiend stays on aggro list forever. Not cleared even after ooc. Also mindcntrolled mob stays there too after long long time.

I can confirm that also, it happened in Kara twice last night. Same versions.
And a third confirmation... just cause I'm bored. :P
Same here. It's a really annoying bug.
Something new on this? Error poped up last week in ej-forums and here (and on my screen), but couldn't find any solution for it.
I searched through the thread for "Magtheridon" and "Omen" specifically and did not find anything, but if I missed it I apologize for repeating.
About two weeks ago I got my entire guild to go ahead and switch to Omen and either disable or delete KTM all together. Last night I noticed (according to my Omen) that no one was really close to me in threat (I am the MT). The second person on the list was about 60K below me and I asked on Vent if people were holding back and the entire raid claimed that 3 people were pushing 110% (which is over me) and several were holding just below me. Luckily my wife sits 2 feet away from me and I asked her to verify and she did so I asked her to tell me what my threat was so I could compare with my Omen and according to hers I was pushing around 50 to 300 TPS where as on my screen at the same time I was pushing between 600 and 800 TPS.
I had everyone verify that they at least had KTM disabled or deleted and I ran the version checker and everyone was running compatible versions with exception to a Holy Paladin that was not running KTM or Omen at all. I did manage to take a screenshot (and I got my wife to at the same time) of the dramatic threat differences.
Anyone have a clue as to what could be happening?

Got three of those in an hour. I believe they happened when fighting the Apexis dragons.
