No Problem, I am using the German (DE) version of the WoW Client. If you need any help with translations or localisation, just let me know. I really like this add-on and it would be a pleasure for me to help.
this works 100% with KTM if other raiders arent using it, right? i love it, but my gm tried it for a couple days and since there are a couple people who are braindead and cant figure out how to work it, he wants everyone to stick with ktm.
Since version r44409 Omen doesn't show anymore. It's in the list of addons to load, but ingame it's not there, not even /omen works. Going back to version r44181 solved that problem but i have no idea why.
On a separate note though, I seem to be having some issues with profiles & such.
I prefer all characters to have the same settings for the addons I use including the position on the screen. When I go and configure omen on my main, I select the "Default" profile and set everything how I want, and drag it to where I want on the screen.
The problem I have though, is when I go to another character and select the default profile, the omen window doesn't change (but I'm pretty sure the settings do...most of them just happen to be the way I want it anyway by default :P)
I still have some in my group which ends up with negative TPS-values sometime. The one with negative value is also using Omen.
The Aggro-gain bar is ending up wherever it feels like sometimes. And the Aggro-% is messed up.
See attached screenshots.
Two comments, first.. Netherspite is a terrible fight to use as a benchmark. Since he aggros whoever is in the red beam regardless of the other raider's threat, the bar is bound to be screwy on that fight. Second, negative TPS values should be acceptable for classes with an aggro wipe (hunters with FD, warlocks with Soulshatter, and Priests with Fade). Antiarc might have included something to attempt to avoid this sort of display since it makes people think the meter is broken... but it seems like normal behavior for a threat dump to me.
Well, Nightbane wipes threat between phases, so it's a "full threat dump" for everyone, which results in briefly negative TPS. I'm working on a visual fix to the issue that should make it less confusing.
Netherspite is basically a threatless fight, and you can ignore whatever the meter says on it. :)
Will ignore it on Netherspite =). But it is still interesting to know what could case the negative threat for my Warlock guildie at that point. Is there some debug I could switch on in Omen to get some output of what is happening during a fight?
I know this is gonna sound kinda crazy so bear with me, heck it might even be a good idea.
Here we were hitting up some PvP and some raid discussion got started about a little boss addon I was working on and someone mentioned Omen. Skip long story about raiding and what to use we get to the sad inevitability of same named mobs (it actually came up from Chronometer comment). Suddenly I had one of those 'light bulb' moments. I know that you set a 'index' to raid targets when you do it, well what if you can get back that 'index'? IE if someone marks all the mobs, could not the targets raid 'index' be used to hold separate threat.
I'm not 100% certain how this would be done (I know something about addons but I'm by far not experienced enough to say how to do this) but do you think this could possibly be workable? I don't know about other guilds but ours marks everything and this would make everyone VERY happy, me especially ;).
Also heres the functions in links (which I'm more than certain you probably already know of, but I like completeness):
