Is it possible to run both KTM and Omen at the same time (on one client)? During a 25-man raid, Omen kinda bugged out on me, leaving me without the main tanks threats, which is a huge problem, so I'd like to run KTM as well for backup. The problem is that most people in guild including the tanks are still using KTM, so that might have been the problem, but it's still supposed to parse KTM data, right? Instead I was just left with few threat bars of people using Omen...
One thing I'm worried about when using both of them at the same time is how other people's Omens are going to react to both KTM and Threat-1.0 messages being sent from me. Will the Threat-1.0 message have priority over KTM message?
I ran both for a while, and it seemed to work well enough. When enough people had switched, I dropped KTM, and haven't had a problem, but I don't raid that often.

My guild are a bunch of luddites and dont want to move to omen. Morons claim they tried it and felt it was buggy (because only 1/3rd of the raid was using it...duh!) so refuse to make the switch.
As a tank I cannot stand KTM, but the guild requires it (and does ver checks to make sure everyone is) so I run both. KTM runs with the gui turned off to sync with the rest of the raids KTM, and I run my personal omen, which as far as I can tell reads from my KTM.
Has worked perfectly for me to date, been doing so for around a month now with no hassles as a raiding tank.
We found that if most people ran KTM and 1 person ran Omen is caused threat meter to go bonkers. I had to delete threat1.0 that comes with Pitbull before each raid. If i didn't threat was wacked. Put me in the category of a Luddite if you will. I like the look and the way Omen works. We've made the switch to Omen. If we find Omen is the cause of our fps issues we'll switch back to KTM if Kenco ever updates his damn mod. But calling your guildies a bunch of Morons shows your character. I need say no more.
Nope. We, as guild, tried since SSC days and we found that only one person running KTM will cause issues on Omen threat.
We removed all KTMs and finally the threat shown by Omen was fine.
My guild is slowly moving over to Omen but we keep running in a mixed environment and don't have any problems. One thing's for sure... no one wants to go back to KTM once they've made the switch.
maybe it helps to uncheck the option show data from ktm ;)
and yes i think noone would turn back to ktm ,although some people did it because of problems :)
Just dont use a ThreatMeter at all....no fight needs it
There are several bosses where if you pull agro it's pretty much a guaranteed wipe, there are also several bosses where if your raid dps isn't good/high enough you will wipe. There are several bosses where the tanks threat is wiped or reduced.
Doing enough dps and/or holding back on dps is guesswork.. it's just not fun to wipe a lot on a boss because someone guessed wrong.
That's the reality.
Weren't blizzard even considering a traffic light-esque ui for threat, red = close to pulling agro, yellow = ok, green = for go go go
And there are several online video games where people have adapted to control threat and kill stuff just fine. Theres the Everquest games, Final Fantasy, Silkroad, Lineage, etc. Be happy WoW allows so much :P

Is the option to recieve KTM info on?

Too bad it seems to be the norm now and will just have to get used to it to not take any crap.
