So happy to see you here. I've been using simpleMinimap forever, and I am a huge fan of Ace modules. To see that SMM is going to Ace2 just makes me all jello inside with happiness, so a big welcome to you :)
If you're curious to see your mod in action, it's part of my UI compilation, which is fairly popular :) Just check my sig!
Awesome to see you here, really looking forward to working with you or besides you :)
i'm glad you enjoy the mod, when it works well and people use it is when i'm glad i worked on this project.
finally, one of my fav mods goes ace2 :-).
i´ve been using simple-minimap since the 1st day it came out.
already hooked up my guild. keep up the good work arjuna.
I do have one bitsy request to this great mod arjuna, and hopefully it's within the scope of the mod.
With the quest tracker, I'm not using any other addon to alter it (can't warrant using one of those ungainly quest all-in-ones), but I noticed that the tracker always 'grows up'. Having moved it to the top of my screen, it keeps growing off the screen, and I keep having to move it back.
Could a grow up/grow down option be implemented into smm? That's all, thanks =D
Edit: Just thought I'd note that my minimap is on the bottom half of the screen...not sure if this is what has affected the default growth direction of the quest tracker, but it does seem likely. Therefore, I suppose I'm asking for an override for the default growth direction.

i can look into that. right now all of the mover frames and all of the movement of default frames works off of the frame center. adds more complication to single out one of the movers/movees, but not terribly difficult i think.
Just a quick error I seem to be happening. The most recent svn version(w/ the coords you added) Works fine, but when you disable it and then relog, it's not saving correctly, and still shows up. Weird thing is it shows 00,00 coords, you enable it again, coords come up for wherever you are. Disable it's back to normal with no coords on the MM.
I just enable then disable on every logon, really doesn't bother me too much, just wanted to let ya know. =p
Loving this mod. Excellent work from an end user perspective.
I was wondering if you could add a module to change whats being tracked? I currently use silvertrack for the odd things I wouldn't normally be tracking. However this trumps the silver track menu. Right click on the minimap and all that. I see I can reassign your button to toggle the map but left is ping. Right was track. Would be great if SMM would see Silvertrack installed and add it to the SMM menu or if SMM had a module to do the same.
Either way. Ill continue to use this. Love it so far ;)
Dosent play well with Jim's Abacus addon, throws a ton of errors.
That's because they both try to do the same things (hide buttons, change the style of the map, etc); you're always going to have issues when addons overlap functions.
loving the hotkey-to-hide feature. however, for some reason the time bubble isn't disappearing with the rest of the minimap. i've noticed that the fubar clockFu addon overrides the /smm show time setting when it's set to hide (in clockFu), so i'm wondering if that might be the cause?
Any plans on adding this to the SVN, or is the version on ui.worldofwar.com the most current available?
SMM isn't in the SVN currently. i'm not a big fan of SVN for small projects, honestly. adds more steps to the process and helps to make authors lazy, i.e. never realeasing an actual mod package.

that's the way it was intended. the hotkey triggers the same function that clicking the X on the location bar does, hides the minimap and leaves the location bar. think that needs to change?
i tried to let SMM play nice with other mods. if you enable a feature (such as hiding the time button) then SMM locks down the show/hide functions so other mods can't mess with it. however, if you don't enable a feature SMM is "hand's off" meaning that other mods are free to play with the UI piece. the idea is that SMM doesn't completely lock out all minimap functions just for being installed which is a bit draconian for my tastes.

An option to toggle up/down growing option to it ^^

i might change it for myself.
I think that's happening with the default miimap, too... so nothing that can be fixed I guess ;)
It doesn't happen when I disable the mod. But when it's on, it happens every time I toggle the setting.
