I take it back... I'm not sure why, but when I attempted to move the minimap, it wouldn't unless I grabbed the location bar (and not the minimap frame, or center). It's working now though, and I have NO idea why.
One last thing:
Maybe add
"MinimapNorthTag:Hide()"
to compass.lua under OnEnable to hide the default N since the mod is replacing it anyway
Im having a small problem with simpleminimap (or with cartographer dunno wich one yet).
I use the "roundedn of" square minimap place in top right hand corner.
And whenever i log ona char with a gathering proff i ofc get the pink rings shoving where i have found stuff ebfore (from cartographer).
These rings have a automatic range check for displaying on the minimap and the ones in my set range but "outside" the min imap are supposed to lock to the border of the map, but for some reason these don't reconise the shape of the map and still uses the cirlce map for "lock" positions.
This only occurs with some of the notes thou fishing works, mining works but herbalism is bugged.
I'm using Simpleminimap because its the best Way to set my Minimapframe for my Saelemar's UI Package. I update the things everyday via AceUpdater. But the last Time i have an Problem with SMM. The Movers Module isn't loaded and i can't set the Positions of the Timerframe DurabilityFrame and the other, that this Module makes movable. As i see the SMM does check for any Modules in the Modules Folder and load them, but why it block this one?

It's not my addon and just fixed the capture bar problem. But if the original author will not reply next few days, i will take up the worlk

It doesn't block the module. It's still in use and should work. Any error messages?
Try reinstalling the whole addon and reseting our config.
I installed the whole Mod again ( deleted before the Mod and the Setting in WTF) but the same Problem. No Movers apear. But the funy thing, i will know, that theres a Problem if an Error will apear in Bugsack, but no Errors shown. So i do it again. Deleted the Settings and logged in without installed SMM. Changed to a Realm where i doesn't play, but with Chars there. Then i deactivated the Whole list of Addons and activated Ace2 and Devdrop Lib and Loged out. I installed the SMM again and logged in and with just this 3 Mods i have the Same Problem. No Movers on screen and no Movers Module in List.
After this Things i tell u before i have the Idea to save my Dirs WTF and Addons and install a whole new Addonfolder with just ACE2, Dewdrop and SMM.
And here with a clean install the same Prob apear. I can't see any Movers on screen.
PS: I use the German Client and the Feature with the Movers worked a few Versions before.

I have the same issue. It did work a few SVN's ago
Oh i'm so stupid. Sry Guys. I found what was the Problem. Someone relabeld the Movers in German Language to Questfenster (this mean in english Questwindow) . But this was the Movers module. So thank you very much for your try to help me :D . All work now fine.
I am not sure if anyone has the same problem as me...
But I found that when my character died, my whole mini map would just become empty and I can see nothing on the mini map...
And when my character rez, the mini map back to normal again.
It's pretty annoying because every time I have to open the world map to figure out where to find the corpse...
I assume there's other mod may conflict with simpleminimap now... but really I could not figure out which mod =/
Update 9/2/07:
Just found the problem... I was using out-dated mod T_Tracking... and its hide button on minimap made my minimap disappear when my character die. So there's no problem at all for Simpleminimap.
not sure whats going on with this but for the past week or so, the tracking indicator (herb / mining, etc.) hasnt shown up on the SMM. Ive got the show tracking button enabled (tried disabled, didnt help). Ive tried resetting SMM to defaults with no effect.
