A feature request here. Would it be possible to make it so you'd be able to control the size of the player icon (the arrow in the middle of the map)? The size of my minimap is at 40% now and the arrow in the middle is awfully small right now:). In Cartographer you can set the size of the arrow at 200%. Love that feature since it's such a simple way to increases readabilty on a cluttered map (big or small).
In Chinchilla, whenever I properly configure the mod, the location bar always comes back when I go to a new region. I really have no idea what could be causing it but it's making me go crazy. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about: . Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
To further explain, I want that x and it's bar to never show up. Whenever I go to a new area, it shows up (Example: Going from Valley of Strength to The Drag causes it to pop up if it wasn't there before). When I load into the game it also shows up. I've purged my WTF entries of both Chinchilla and Simpleminimap and this didn't fix it. I've looked in my interface options and didn't see anything that could be causing it to do this. This is driving me crazy though and I really hope to fix it! Thanks again for any help.
I found that the location module of SLDataText made mine appear, and it disappeared when I disabled that module (I just use the regular location text on the minimap).
Wait there is an option in the latest SLDT that allows you to hide the bar. So I get to keep my font and font color from SLDT and Chinchilla! Yay! Thank you so much for helping.
Is it possible, to change the width of the minimap, and not the height?
Basically, i am looking for a way to make the minimap retangular, so it would look similar to Blizzards battleground minimaps.
Not without distorting the Minimap's textures and yellow dots/other icons. The textures and those dots/icons inside the Minimap is genarated specially within the wow client itself and addons can't touch it.
So far Chinchilla is tons better than SMM, love the configuration.
BUT....love throwing those around.
It is somehow interfering with 2 of my mods, Bongos2 and Beql. I use Bongos2 solely for the ability to move and resize the BG indicators and the capture bar. Beql is a quest log and its tracking header is constantly being pulled back towards the middle of the screen when I try to move it back out.
Not sure how this is doing this, but I have disabled Chinchilla and the others work fine. Is there a way to configure Chinchilla to fix this?

Thankee :)
1. If you only need Bongos2 to move the BG and capture bars, then you don't need Bongos2 at all because Chinchilla has movers for both of those.
2. Not sure what that's about, but make sure to notify the Beql author as well. Maybe it's anchoring to the minimap or to some other frame that Chinchilla controls. Can Chinchilla move the default UI's quest tracker frame? Maybe Beql is anchoring to that? nQuestLog's tracker works fine with Chinchilla for me.

I think I resolved that with beql by disabling the tracker positioning module within Chinchilla. This should let you move it where ever you want and have it stay put. :)
For some reason, I'm having issues with my mousewheel zoom. Even though it's enabled... it just doesn't work. It will just zoom my camera instead. However, right-clicking the minimap to display the options work, so I'm a little confused why the zoom function won't.
I'm having a problem with the square minimap staying...square lol. On zone loads mostly it seems to revert back to a circle. The border stays square but the inside (actual map) reverts. Not sure if this has something to do with gfxtoggle or not.
Another thing is my Map button won't go away! I don't like mousing over my minimap and having my map pop up on me. I do have Cartographer so that may be the problem too.
I love this mod!
But it can't see cartographer icons on it.
Before I use "Mappy" a very simple MM-Mod, but your mod is much better.
The only problem - with Mappy I see my catrographer icons (herbs and so on) and also the "circles" -- but on Chinchilla I see - nothing.
Maybe I'm simply missing something; or does Chinchilla not work with cartographer?
I see (for an example) herbs on my map.
But nothing on chinchilla.
No matter if I enable "minimap..." or not.
I guess I have to paly around a bit more.
Sorry I didn't search through the thread to see if this question was posed... but is there an option to display a title bar over the map that shows your present location?

It should be there by default... The location bar is in the options.
Is it possible to add the option to skin the minimap button icons? i.e. the PVP icon, LFG, mail, etc. It would be nice to give these icons a plain, square border ala Chinchilla's "Square, Thin" minimap border :)
Great work and a solid addon. Loving it:)

I'll take a look into the BG's and Capture movement tonight as well as the quest log.
Thanks for the reply :)
