Thanks for adding a mover for WorldStateAlwaysUpFrame. Unfortunately it seems a little buggy: It really, really likes to stick to 1265, 823 for some reason if I try to use my scroll wheel on the position sliders.
Sounds like a Visor issue to me...which I wouldn't even use anymore if the Cartographer waypoint arrow were resizable/alpha-changable. ;)
Have you used anything previously to move this frame?
Yeah, Visor2. I thought it may have been responsible, so I made sure that I deleted its settings and disabled it so that it doesn't even load.
It seems that if I tell Chinchilla to make it movable, I can position it with the mouse and then lock it down. I haven't tested to see if it jumps around after that or not.
As for the steps:
- set WorldStateAlwaysUpFrame to movable
- put cursor over the x/y scroll bars for that frame in the config menu
- scroll the scroll wheel in either direction and observe that the coordinates gravitate towards the upper-right area of the screen
Is there something I need to do to reverse the effects of Visor2 beyond disabling it?
Edit: I see there have been a couple updates; I'll see if the issue has cleared up.

Chinchilla provides functions for other authors to register their own border and blip textures for use in Chinchilla. I hope to make an example addon available soon that demonstrates these functions and makes it easy to add your own textures. (Sort of like how SharedMedia works.)
I would really like to see an example addon to use as a template for making a blip texture pack addon. The blip module has inspired me to download GIMP and make some textures of my own, and I've been hacking Chinchilla to re-add them whenever it updates :)
This may be a long shot, but any chance of chinchilla-ing the UIErrorsFrame? Or, failing that, anyone know of a mod that allows you to move/resize/customize the UIErrorsFrame? I seem to remember having one at one point, but I can't remember the name of it.
Right now, I use Visor2 to keep the WorldState frame and the UIErrorsFrame where I want them, but if I could get rid of Visor2, I wouldn't be upset :)

There was ImprovedRaidWarningFrame, which broke in one of the 2.3.x patches, but I never knew of one for the error frame. I ended up installing ErrorMonster and having it redirect its output to Parrot.
Just put that in a lua file, make a toc file, and make the texture.
Cool I'll try that. Seems like it'd need to be more idiot-proof (checking for Chinchilla before attempting to call it etc.) in order to be released to the public as a texture pack, but should work fine for my own use.
Edit: Also, the second argument can't be wrapped in L[] unless you set up a localization thingy I think.
Edit 2: WorldStateAlwaysUpFrame mover seems to behave fine now.

Genius. Nevermind the request about the ErrorsFrame, I totally forgot I even had errormonster installed.
Okay, attached is my slapdash attempt at a blip icon pack example (tested and working). I set Chinchilla as a dependency to make it more idiot-proof, and named it something generic in case I ever feel like tossing in some border textures or whatever too :)
The icons I made myself from scratch using GIMP; feel free to use them however you like. My inspiration was that I saw everyone making "big" icons when I wanted smaller ones instead (blips tend to quickly clutter up the minimap quite badly on Hunters).
Personally I think the "HunterZ Small" set looks pretty nice in raids and cities when my Hunter has a ton of blips on his minimap. The node and quest icons could be better though, and I should probably use symbols instead of colors to differentiate the unit types in the spirit of Nandini's original idea for replacement blips :)
I like the tiny ones! They are very useful when I'm in cramped or densely populated areas.
The two original sets I submitted (Nandini and Blizzard Big) were tailored toward players with specific visual impairments and really won't be optimal for 95% of users.
Thanks for sharing your artwork with us; I really like having the additional options available! :)
Nandini, here are attached, the tooltip borders i told you about, as it seems impossible to send files via private messages.
on a sidenote, would that be possible to have a much smaller version of glass/solid sphere ?
Rather than draw you an entirely new border, you can very closely approximate the style in the file you attached by using the built-in "Thin" border style in Chinchilla and setting its color to a darker gray. An easy way to do this is to adjust its "L" component in the HSL group to about 23%. You may have to make it a bit darker or a bit lighter to match your actual tooltips, as those get recolored as well sometimes.
I do have several other blip and border styles I've been accumulating. Rather than tossing them a few at a time, I want to get them all to a quality I consider release-worthy, then getting some feedback on them via the forums, then adding them to the svn as an addon for people to download. To borrow from Blizzard, "it will be ready when it's ready." :)
I have a strange behavior with Chinchilla, though not giving me any error, so may be you will be able to help me.
I am druid and miner :) when I see a node, if some mobs are round before landing on ground I drop my treants. Then as soon as the fight start, Chinchilla vanish and I can only see the trackingdots - I use actually Nandini ones :)-.
here pictures of what happening, and I can reproduce this each time I drop my treants.

Simplest answer is usually the correct one. Does Chinchilla vanish every time you're in combat, or just around nodes? If it's every time, check your combat alpha slider under Chinchilla's appearance. If not...I got nothin...

Unless I'm just not seeing something I think I'm experiencing some sort of bug. I barely have any other addons installed atm (bartender3,pitbull,eepanels).
I can't move the minimap or remove the location bar/text. I've double checked making sure the window is unlocked and I can hide everything else on the minimap other than the text. Can't say what's happening really.

Lol, you rock.
EDIT: Cart waypoint arrow now has adjustable size/opacity, just so I don't appear to be a total lunatic responding to myself.

I have the same problem with location bar which I placed over the minimap as well...
Also just to remind my previous feature request: Can you add tooltip to Location bar similar to original Blizzard location bar tooltip?
BTW: Great work on the RangeCircle module! Thanks ;)
Might be a problem when using also LocationFu?
gonna test...

I thought it was due mainly to the fact I was using also Icon pack with Cartographer, I removed the addon, and it was still doing it.
COuld this be related with the Strata (Background) and Frame Level (0) ? I might have change the original settings.
Any help would be welcome.
