Just noticed this but so far it seems that the discs only really happen in Brill when im getting quests because i can use cartographer outside of it fine, even tried on different server and the same. What could be the reason for this? and i'm not getting any PMs

try making a bug report. it tends to get the problem fixed quicker.
Hello, i apologise if this is not the right place to ask, but since patch 2.3 cartographer quests does not work??? i have used the latest updates, and still no joy.
I have wow running on 2 computers 1 for playing on at home and a Laptop. The laptop quest objectives still work. i have copied the cartographer from this machine (From add ons and the saved variables files)to my main machine.
WOO HOO i can now see the objectives.
My problem is this:
Now when i go into my cartographer settings i can change every setting except for the quests and treasure (it's greyed out) all the others are completely changeable, it no longer tells me either what the things on the map represent (which quest it is for) it only shows where they are, not what they are.
I would like to update it with the rest of my guild but it seems it will not while it is greyed out.
Can anyone help me with this? Cartographer is an excellent mod and i hate to play with out it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
here's a screenie
I've been using this like crazy on my alts but some quests fail to show up? is there a newer version of this with more quests? It really speeds up my leveling not having to go to thottbot every second.
i'm new to wow and have only played for a month or two and have been using cartographer quest objectives the whole time and it's been great. i've had a recent problem, on my one char (mage) i've been in dustwallow marsh and NONE of the quest i've accepted have shown up on my map, have i accidentally messed something up? i've gone through a few quest following wowhead but it is a lot harder than quest objectives. can anyone help?
It would be cool if some german Horde players could contribute their Cartographer_Quests databases too, because after Zangarmarshes the databases doesn't contain Horde questgivers :(.
Big deDE database with almost every questgiver from level 60 to 70. Hope that helps.
Edit: Horde only of course :P
@ bonji321
since the dustwallow marshes had a revamp with 2.3 I just guess that the Database you downloaded just has no "new" quests there. You can to go the Cartographer_QuestObjectives options and disable the filter that will only show quests in the questlog. Then you can see all quests in the current zone to verify if there are any.
I'd really like to see a fully updated Cartographer_Quests database (in US English) not in RAR format. Finding the objectives to my quests is not my main problem, its finding available quests. Can someone please include both their updated objectives database and basic Quests db? It's getting really difficult to find quests in outland. I think this would really help a lot.
PS: Please don't waste our time dissecting the errors in our posts, it only makes it more frustrating to get the things we want out of a database sharing thread.
I think there is a bug in the sharing feature between the german client. Normally Cartographer Quest Objectives save the german objectives with the english zone name. But the objectives you get from other players are saved with the german zone name. You can't see these objectives on the map.
In the posted database of Mars are many of this problems. I think there is a lot of needless data. I think I posted this problem months ago, but the author didn't change something.
Ok I was wrong. The "notes" are saved with the english zone name and the "objectives" are saved with the german zone name. When I share my database with someone he only gets the "objectives" when the english zone name is different to the german zone name. Does anyone exist who can fix this? =)
I have a problem with the QuestObjectives addon. WoW crashed on me the other day, and I think I lost my old quest objectives. None of the objectives for my dailies are showing up, aside from the ones I've done since the crash, and none of the objectives in the lower-level areas where my alt currently is are showing up either. Is there any way to recover my lost objectives data, or do I have to download one of these databases and just work on rebuilding my data from there?
I think you have to download another DB since your data is most probably lost. :(
When the DB is rather big, WoW will need some time to write the whole data into the saved variables file when you quit WoW. If you have to kill WoW via the task manager it usually cannot complete writing the whole file so data is lost. Try do to a backup every week or so. I do this, too.

probably this thread, a few posts in the past.
if not does anyone have a link to some English EU database?
en-us is fine for eu servers, when they are english, e.g. "enGB"

Here is also my german database:
Give TourGuide http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7674-TourGuide.html a try for finding quests, it walks you right through them quite nicely.
Edit: I try posting this in the official thread
also i included Cartographer: Quest for Horde
with sunwell open now we should get this running again
