Confirmed. After disabling Tipbuddy, nodes started getting picked up. After reenabling Tipbuddy, nodes previously picked up still showed on the map; new nodes were not picked up.
BTW, one thing that confused me was the filtering function. The tooltip says "filters out selected nodes" - which to me implies that if I select a particular node type, it won't be picked up or shown on the map. In fact, it seems to work in precisely the opposite way.
xinhuan * r57474 CowTip/CowTip.lua:
CowTip: Insert a 3-line hack so that Talismonger-3.0 will start recording nodes for Cartographer_Mining/Herbalism/Fishing again when "Hide Immediately" option is used in CowTip_Fade on World Objects or when "Never" or "Out of combat" option is used in CowTip on World Objects for showing tooltips.
As for TipBuddy, I can't fix it because it isn't a wowace addon. Please tell the author that when he hooks GameTooltip to :Hide() it for any reason, he needs to restore the text in GameTooltipTextLeft1 after the :Hide() is performed (either by hooking OnHide or otherwise) so that Talismonger-3.0 can read the value in it to record the node.
There is no other reliable way to record a node other than by scanning the tooltip to determine what kind of object is being harvested and hiding it prevents that.
the hiding of the tooltip will just break talismonger for fish nodes. I could not reliably get it to figure out what you fished without reading the tooltip. Ill see If I can get around the tooltip issue. Sorry ive bene out of wow for a while, and just a week ago re-enabled my account back.
