I have a question about the treasure module way back in this thread is the link to the script to convert your gatherer info I used that ages ago and it also creates a treasure file as well but the way its formated isn't how treasure is saving the info anyway to convert that file I have to the new format? I've tried using the import tool but haven't had any luck with it yet usualy only imports half the info for 1 zone and skips the others while that script yanked out everything for me
The treasure modul created a "Robuste Truhe" entry when a guildmate with deDE client opened it - I'm using the UK client ... the herbalism and mining modules create localized entries, I get allways english entries when someone with deDE client collects herbs. Shouldn't the treasure modul behave the same?
the enable/disabling menu is checking if the module is loaded in
if not Cartographer:HasModule(v) then
self.db.server[k].tracking = false
return true
end
the problem is it looks for the localised name of the module like "Angeln", but this returns false ... querying the english name works.
herbalism and fishing don't work .. mining works thought
I tried Cartographer:HasModule(bs:GetReverseTranslation(v)) ... then fishing and herbalism works but mining stops working :))
2nd problem:
the fish names in the stats database are saved localised .9
Mining,Fishing,Herbalism are all consistant now in how they indicate thier names and store values. (dafire)
Cartographer_Stats is fixed for that now (dafire)
Cartographer_Treasure can doesnt have all the translastions so thats why you get some localized ones. Till people localize it im afraid there isnt much i can do about that, get people to add translations. Treasure use a regluar expression to match partials in names to find stuff
MEtamap question (krink) they both try to do the same thing so pick one
coredump: noone has gone back in to fix instaneloot map nots yet
Got a bug or two in the fishing module it seems
a) I'm not getting any "Stonescale Eel Swarm" notes
b) I got "School of Tastyfish" two times in the filter menu, no "Stonescale Eel Swarm" in there
edit: fixed it locally, unfortunatly I don't have dev svn access ;-)
great addon and frees up space.. only issue I have is the instance maps and the POIs on the instance maps are not lining up correctly.. I didn't see any mention of this using the search feature.
Now once you are able to import from mapnotes/ct mapmod I will be very happy
From what I read in the Cartographer_quests file(and what I tried on the Deadmines instance map using Cartographer), it tags the quest givers you go see as opposed to showing you what quests correspond with the instance dungeons. I could be wrong..

Nope, you're not wrong. I'm currently working on a knowledge base for Cartographer that will probably include the information you are looking for. The main problem is getting the data. :( If you have an Atlas Quest SV file you are willing to share, you can email it to me and I can see what kind of data I can build up. :)
Thanks for the last few bug-fix releases. They fixed the following bugs for me:
- Instance Loot in AQ40 shifted
- Wandering Minimap-Icons (Herbalism, Mining, Flightmap for example) in deDE Versions of WoW
- Professions-Modules only available after opening the map once (after a zone-switch you had to do the same again ^^)
And here some bugs which remained - at least for me - after the last bug-fixing-releases ;):
- Boss-Locations in Stratholme are shiftet
- Naxxramas Map is incomplete (Frostwyrm Lair missing). Kel & Sap - Loot available though.
- Since a few releases loading times of instance maps are huge when you try to open them outside instances (is this load on demand now?).

My observations...
After the change, Carto isn't using static maps anymore - it's using the ingame minimap graphics to reassemble the full map for an instance. For this it has dozens of lines like
in the InstanceNotes.lua that seems to be a compressed format because at the same time "pack.lua" appeared in the scripts folder with this comment at the top "This converts data from Blizzard's WMOs into a format usable by Cartographer-InstanceMaps" at the top. I guess it's the decompressing, that takes around 2 seconds on my system. After that, the instance maps are appearing instantly.

Just got felwood plant notes from a german cartographer_treasure user ... now I have 2 entries for one spot, the loc is only minimally different... one in english of course, the other in german. In a guild where even more than enUS/deDE is used (frFR... esES...) every note will appear 4 times? Can't be the goal of this ;-)
edit: ah found out... whipper root example
english premade entry: Whipper Root
english manual collected entry: Cleansed Whipper Root
german localized entry: Peitscherwurzel
german manual collected enetry: Gesäuberte Peitscherwurzel
A double entry will occur for "cleansed whipper root" too, because that string isn't in Cartographer_Treasure.lua (I reported that a dozen pages back, when the treasure modul was new - I forgot about it myself)
edit2: just asked a friend if my fishing notes reach him in german or english... he gets them in english, so I guess he gets double entries if he starts to fish at this spots with his german client -- I think this problem needs some kind of solution
edit3: temporarly disabled sharing and receiving for treasure and fishing notes -- idea for a quick "workaround" might be if its possible that carto sends the client language string with the notes, that way the noteshare modul could have an option to only accept notes in the same language

Ok is it possible to "hack" so they can coexist.

i dont know if anyone is working on ctmod/mapnotes mod to import their notes
is anyone making an equivalent to atlas quests?

I'll download it and have a look then. Thanks for the effort. :)
