Strange problem. I have the mining nodes imported into my cartographer so I know where most of the spots are. There are some spots though that weren't marked by the import from a previous thread. My cartographer 'used' to automatically add notes for the nodes that I mine ore from if they weren't marked previously, however that isn't the case anymore. What can I check to make sure that if I mine from a node that hasn't been noted before, that it automatically adds a note in my DB?
Yeah, i thought about some of them being too close, but I know that isn't the case, the closest ones are maybe 50 yards away or so... it should definitely bring up the new node. Detection really hasn't been a problem. The only problem I have with detection is that since I have imported all of the nodes from the thread at the top of the forum, a good number of them are wrong... so while I'm thinking it's going to be gold, I'll hover over it and it will still say gold (since the tooltip is picking up the node from Cartographer and not the actual detected node) but when I get there I'll find out it's iron...
I just know that there have been a few more nodes I found in the Badlands that I would like to note, and it hasn't happened. I also noticed that my manually made notes don't stick with the program, I'm not sure if they only disappear when Cartographer is updated or what.
The usage for this does not actually require the use of the mod Gatherer right? Doesn't the description for the addon say that it's based on the addon Gatherer? Or do you have to have Gatherer (which I noticed is not Ace2) to make this work?
Also got that Wowhead database and I think it might be because there are too many notes stored (for the zone, the Mining/Herbing addon, or in total)
I think I noticed some new notes getting created while herbing after I deleted some of those notes that many zones have a (1,1) (invalid data sent to Wowhead) so that's what I base this assumption on.
I also have this problem when mining, but I noticed a workaround. If you spam-click the node, like ten times, it will eventually be noted (pink circle showing up at your location on the minimap). Although it is somewhat annoying you could try it out, just hammer the mouse. ;)
