While moving the Cart window around, I accidentally wound up with its "menu bar" off the screen. I can't find any way or anything to click and drag to pull the window back into place. That is, so I can see the top of the map, access options, etc. Any help would be most appreciated.
Try copying from another profile. Or, just select a new profile which I believe will load the default settings. If you prefer to stick to your original profile, you can go back to it and then copy from the new profile.
Untried, but I bet it'll work.
Alternatively, you can scale the window down, move it, and then scale it back up. CTRL + MouseWheel is the default control for setting the scale, I believe.
Y'know, I tried it but when I suggested it I didn't realise that the only way to access your profile is from the (now hidden) buttons. But if you choose such a thing, you can Copy From or Choose a profile, or you can Reset from the menu as well. Profile options are at the bottom of the menu.
To fade the map in & out, it's SHIFT + Scroll, to change the scale it's CTRL + Scroll ... (or CTRL + ALT + Scroll? That's what it is on my Mac, CTRL + Scroll zooms the entire screen, it's an OS thing). If you're not holding down the appropriate modifier buttons, the Scroll button will only zoom the camera as you've described.
You can also drag the map by the bottom of the frame (even if the frame is transparent, so long as it's unlocked). If, somehow, the frame is locked although the buttons are offscreen, holding down ALT will temporarily unlock the map for movement, fading, and zoom level. The latter two functions will also not work if the frame is locked, but again holding down ALT suspends the lock.
