When I open an area map I'm used to seeing the various zone names as I move the mouse around on the map. I've been using Cartographer for a few weeks now, and this had been fine, but now has stopped working. Any idea as to how I might fix this?
I think there's a setting somewheres, because my first install of Cartographer didn't show the names, but later after removing it and adding it back, it worked.
If you've locked the cartographer map via key icon to make it unmovable and click-through, you won't see the subzone text and such when mousing over areas.
It's there to let you turn the map into a minimap. I've clicked it on accident too in the past, I thought it was just to lock my settings. Using a lock icon seems rather unintuitive to me, but then again, it's the same as other things Blizzard themselves do (chatframes, for example).
Anyway, I'll check when I'm next in the game.
....so if you do lock it, then you can hold down alt to display the names? Interesting. Well unlocking it seems sufficent for me for now.
"It's there to let you to turn the map into a minimap" ... oh? Hm, I guess I need to work with that functionality a little more.
