I think it's the fact that people still haven't had the chance to get their own databases fleshed out yet. So no one has yet combined them into a single database. I remember seeing a post by the author of http://gather.reet.org/ fairly recently claiming he's planning to convert that database to cartographer, but it's still pre-Outland stuff.
What's needed it for people to start posting their cartographer_mining.lua files so that they can be combined. Not sure if that's frowned upon here or not.
is there any way to either import the notes from wowhead.com in game? or maybe add them manually to the .lua file. right now i don't understand anything of the system in in the lua. herbs loctions is code like this : = "Golden Sansam". now what does the numbers stand for?
Found it a bit boring to do it manually, and the coordinates at wowhead isn't as accurate as the mod uses. so I'm guessing that if i add from wowhead and then pick the herb it will create a new note there.
