The issue is that many times a waypoint directional is not the way you want to go to get back to your corpse. There are numerous graveyards in ravines/pits with only a single path out..Often that path is NOT facing in the direction you died. Another similar situation is where there is a ravine/pit in between you and your corpse that you have to go around.
Still, the times where the waypoint directional IS in the proper direction, and there are no obstacles in your way is still very frequent.. High enough that this would be pretty darn useful...
Since I'm working on waypoints atm, I'll factor this in. I have to do some reworking and refactoring of the current code to make it more object oriented so that adding in new features isn't such a utter hack as I've tried last night =) I can't believe I was actually using waypointNote and waypointGuild booleans to indicate type =P
