last nite I had A LOT of funky things...Quest log I couldn't see the words, really dark. Vendor window things were all over the place. Will try again today...
With the status bars is it possible to skin the background bar too?
For instance with rep, the dark bar for the rep you still have to get is a sort of glaze texture. Changing the texture only changes the bar for what rep you already have (the light green bar).
Also the tooltips generated by fubar (among others) and the right click menu's don't seem to be skinner anymore. Did I change something accidently in the settings? I have the dewdrop and tablet files in the skinme directory...
Edit: nvm, the background texture seems to apply on a reload.
Would it be possible to update UberQuest skin to this version: http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=3611 ? Everything seems to be slightly off in the quest information frame.
Is there anyway to get all these skins Load on Demand or something?
What do you (fellow Skinner users) do when there is an update? Just toss all skin files in and go, pick and choose each time?
If you are using the WoW Ace Updater, you could disable the delete option before updating, if you have that enabled. Myself I just watch WAU to see if skinner was updated, and if it was I just copy the files back to the correct folder. The first couple times it takes a little longer than it should but after a few updates you get into a rhythm. If they were all made LoD the number of entries in your AddOn folder would double, then people would just end up deleting the extra folders. That's my opinion anyway.
Another suggestion I just thought of: make a copy of the files you have in the SkinMe folder, and copy them back into the folder when you update. The only issue with that is if Jncl needs to change a skin file you won't know untill something goes wrong (most likely).
It appears that when statusbar glazing (as seen in the rep/skill character windows) came in it also skinned the TinyTip hp bar on tooltips. Whether that was intentional or not, could it also skin the mana bar that you can add to the tooltip by using TinyTipExtras addon. Thanks.

Also still get this. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Dewdrop and tablet generate a lot of the stuff that appears on my ui.
Is it possible to import custom textures with Skinner? I'm thinking to MazzleUI - is that what she used to get the "elven metal" look, or is that something else? If so, what format does the texture have to be to import?

Mazzle does not use Skinner. I think it used to be DART, don't remember if it still is - I think it's just part of the custom Mazzle addon package.
Ohh I see. In that case, I guess Skinner can't accept custom textures? Is there an Ace2 mod that handles a similar function to DART, if not? I was thinking I could use a custom picture and have it skinned over top of the areas Skinner normally skins, like the big bar at the bottom etc...
Eepanels has an ingame configuration and is very customisable. AFAIK the other mod requires some small knowledge of lua editing, but would be much smaller. Both addons require textures to be less than a certain size (128*512?).

Not entirely correct...
Electroflux Textronator actually has in-game configuration, and does not require knowledge of lua editing. All you need to do is split your bottom texture into four sections, just like the original texture that comes with it. Height can vary as well, as long as it is a power of 2 (like all textures WoW can use). It comes with a view port, and only adds a texture to the bottom of your screen, though the author is looking into adding support for placing textures anywhere.
eePanels can use textures of varying sizes as well (as long as dimensions are a power of 2 - I believe). The panel you place the texture in can be whatever size you want, though it may stretch or skew the texture if it is not the same size. You can have as many panels on your screen as you want, wherever you want.
If you open your pvp tab and are in a arena guild you can click the 5v5, 3v3, or 2v2 buttons and a new window will appear detailing the members and their scores. This window is not skinned.

dunno why, but as of today it looks fine...

why do skinner only "skins" skins half box
as you can see after a few lines , it stops skinning and gives me the black blackground instead of continuing the gradient
at least those are the only "bugs" i've noticed when i change a few settings ( like colors or fades )
Regards
I'm away for a few days but will look at the problems when I return early next week
Either way, this is an excellent mod!
Yeah, I'm having this problem as well...I've checked, and double-checked to make sure Skinner is skinning the Inspect frame...and no luck here =/
I am also experience this same problem.
