Huh. Weird. Only Tooltip related Addons I use is RatingBuster, TankPoints. Well ok TipTac for Player Tooltips but that one is Skinned already..... Hm. Alright. Thanks... Thought it was kind of weird you didnt skin something from the Default UI :P
After updating to b3.12340.10-nolib i lost all transparancy on textures (everything became solid despite being supposed to be at 50% alpha) and all tooltips (default game ones, the ones modified by tiptac and LDB ones) lost textures entirely (just plain white background instead of textures).
This will now tile the backdrop texture correctly, I hope ;-), if you want it stretched then change its TileSize to 0.
b3.12340.11
As Ferari said, now all textures are entirely white instead.
Also been getting an error from BasicChatMods for the last couple of versions.

@ Ferari & Kerecha, what colour is the backdrop set to?, it should be set to black or dark grey for the Texture to appear, you can also adjust the transparency there as well.
I will amend the instructions accordingly

So basicly you turned the colorsetting around then? (Used to have to set it to white for texture to show)
Edit: Setting to black works, but i seem to have lost textures entirely on tooltips (i just get a plain flat black background), effects all "normal" tooltips (tiptac and ratingbuster active).
For LDB i get 3-4 different looks, either no texture (travellers referense and a few others), extremely bright texture (gets a strong white "glow" in the colors instead of black), Pico Guild/Friends is still white and some comes out solid black (no transparency)
Ill try to play around with settins and stuff to se what i can figure out
I know it's not ideal, what I had to do was create another texture for the frame, rather than use a texture in the backdrop, this enabled me to tile or stretch the texture. I also had to disable the Gradient effect on the frame.
To make it work the backdrop is using the default texture and the colour must be black or dark grey to allow the new texture to appear. They may be a better way to achieve this but I haven't found it yet.
The Tooltips look different because some are GameTooltip objects and some are Frames/Buttons and they each get skinned in different ways. I'll try to standardise the method for all of them but it will probably take some time.
If you notice any other anomalies please let me know.

Ill be running the .9 version for now and test the new versions as they come to check how they are working (and ill try to sit my ass down and make a list of the different modules that behave "odd", but between studies, workrehab and raiding im kinda short of time nowdays).

Interesting in that .10 works fine for me. .11 stuffs up all my textures as you described. I changed all my textures to dialog and that was fine, but I prefer the clean lines of blizzard chat. Also, the gradient doesn't work at all in .11.

Might be related to the fact that i use custom textures, not wow ones.

Hi Suddendeath2000,
I'm not getting this error. Maybe a conflict with another AddOn ?
Changes for new Background Texture feature (as reported by Kerecha amongst others)
- I've reverted the Backdrop changes I made, this means that you should choose the default button on the Backdrop options page and change just those settings back to the default values.
- I've added a new options page for Background Texture, this should work better than the original bodged code that I first tried. Please try it and let me know how you get on. You may also need to change the Gradient Alpha values if the gradient is too bright.
I have updated the instructions to reflect the new procedure.

New version not showing up yet so i guess ill just have to test in the morning instead
Was having some issues getting tootips to skin properly so i crated a new profile to get "default" settings on everything.
Added my texture in "background" and played around a bit with gradient colors and i now get textures on tooltips properly. But im having a bit of issues getting borders to become "normal" again thou. but i guess im just forgetting some option somewhere.
BTW, maybe a bit OT but anyone here that can gimme a hand with my batchfile for moving the skinfiles into the right folder?
ATM i use one i found in a forum, but it has to be placed inside the skinner folder to work and i would like to be able to run it from the "Interface" folder instead if possible.
@echo off
for /R ../ %%f IN (.) do if EXIST "AddOnSkins\"%%~nf* move "AddOnSkins\"%%~nf* "SkinMe"
And while im at it would it be possible to add more stuff into the same batch?
Specificly copy C:\Users\Zeelian\WoW\Custom wow\frameborder.tga to C:\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\DBM-Core\textures\frameborder.tga
and
"Copy and replace" C:\Users\Zeelian\WoW\Custom wow\DBT-Template.xml into C:\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\DBM-Core\DBT-Template.xml
