I've also noticed since shortly before 3.0 that if I enter combat while viewing the General tab and then click another tab while still in combat, I get both tabs' text overlaying each other.
If I'm viewing a tab other than General when I enter combat, and then click the General tab while still in combat, I see no text in the chat frame at all - even after combat ends (at least until I click another tab and then click back to General).
I haven't tried narrowing things down yet to see if it's Prat's fault or someone else's.
So the addon Cellular on WoWInterface moves the ChatEditBox to its frame when you reply to a whisper. It then attempts to move it back when you're done, but fails to do so when using Prat 3.0. The author has thrown up his hands and is advising people not to use both addons together, although personally I just hacked Cellular to not move the edit box since I don't really like that feature anyways.
Use WIM-3.0! The author and I work together to keep compatible with eachother, plus WIM-3.0 is pretty slick.
I have tried to engage the cellular author in the past, and he wasn't really interested.

Well, I want to say that this could easily be prat (either the 2 column frames, or the mouseover hilighting) - though, I have personally never run into an issue like this.

I ditched the old WIM several months ago because it was extremely bloated, and it forced usage of the old buggy WhoLib.
I'll have to give the new WIM a go though; my GF says it's a lot more streamlined now.

I don't want to blame Prat until I can do some testing (which may be a while since Wrath is imminent). It's especially worth noting that this started happening only a couple months ago in 2.4, and I was using Chatter at the time rather than Prat. I just thought it was worth floating the issue to see if anyone else knew about it.
I made a change to the latest alpha (r79) to support right and center alignment in the combat log too, but I'll have to see if it causes any trouble.
Hi Sylvanaar
Was the justification ability of the combat log ever re-implemented, as I don't seem to have this functionality still.
Two other things I miss from Prat 2.0 was the ability to isolate the toggling of the arrows independantly in the main chat frame and the combat log, at the moment it seems to be either on or off in both. Also would be nice to have the text return to the bottom after a designated time once you have scrolled up as opposed to having to manually click the arrow to return to the bottom of the text.
Appreciate all the work and effort you have put into this.

Well. I would start by deleting your caches, chatcache etc. Just to level set
Just updated prat and the time stamps appeared to freak out. It keep scrolling numbers really fast for what I can only assume were milliseconds. I choose 12 hr HH:MM format from the drop box and that didn't fix it either did a /reloadui so I have had to disable time stamps for now.

same here, if you disable the 2 column chat option it seems to return to normal
note the numbers dont scroll they just fluctuate (unless its scrolling in its own frame?) the chat text stays in the correct order and doesnt scroll.
try the latest alpha, and let me know if that fixes it
2 column chat is a a very complicated feature its just too cool though. The latest builds of prat are shipping with the entire HighCPUUsageModules addon initially disabled.
That addon contains the 2 column chatframes, hover hilighting, and color names everywhere options.
I'm getting random guild pane popups, though it does seem to always happen when guild members log in, in addition to the "random" popups. This does not happen in Beta 15, but it occurs in every Release Candidate thus far (through RC4).
Everytime I open Wim history I get this error: (this is with latest Wim Release Build)

I'm getting a strange error in which my Social pane will not update unless I change the tab. IE, if I go to the Social panel, select guild, and switch order from, say, Name to Level, it won't update until I either scroll, or select another tab.
Hi there :)
here all is working fine.
just thinking if u implemented one option to automatic go bottom chat frame (after little time u can choose maybe) if u use mousewheel to scroll up and forget to go back bottom.
nothing more at this time :) very great chat addon of course.
FYI, if you make a chat tab named "Group", "Name", or any other aceoptionstable field name, you will screw up the options (at least for that tab). Its a bug.

Delete the saved variables, or at the very least reset the profile from the profile tab.
You can enter in channel names manually.

this only seams to happen when i add a message to the chat frame using ChatFrame1:AddMessage(...) though
when i say something or get messages form other people this doesn't happen
attached is a screen shot of what it looks like right when its freaked out for that single frame
You can disable 2 column chat in the timestamps module. There really isnt any way around this problem.

I don't see any Modules in my "Modules Vontrol" Tab. I also don't see any Profiles.
Some help would be great! :D
This happens with only Prat enabled. Any ideas?
