Ever seen getitng the newest version of prat any incoming whispers i get that are unknown wont show the player names. Is there something i'm doing wrong?
I hade same but just one time. can't see name first time but name appear during chatting.
never had this problem more leater.
i just installed the beta 9 version of prat and only command lines seem to appear. i cannot get wispers, say, guild ect to function. when i try to send or recieve a message from any of these channels i get an error saying:
Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:2218:bad argument #1 to 'strsub' (string expected, got nil)
Can i fix this myself or should i wait for the addon to be updated?

Run prat by itself. It sounds more like you have another addon that hasn't been updated for 3.0

Once you have created the filter that causes this error, the error will continue to pop up. You have to delete the filter from your saved variables - i'll have to look at why having filters with spaces is causing errors.

It don't seem to be breaking anything apart from blocking acess to options thou.

aceconfig will error if you have a key for an option with a space in it since this would break command line compatibility
Absolutely my favorite mod. Thanks again for all your hard work.
In the older version, I could type /altname link Jimmy Joey and I'd add and altname link. I can't do that in 3.0. How do I link alts in 3.0?
Thanks!
Well, there is the option from the right click menu on the unitframes. Also I have just re-enabled those options in the config dialog. I dont know about doing it via command line (i'm sure theres a way)

The correct output would be from the addon Chatlink. I'll be compatible with that if I'm not, let me know.
