*None* of the Vehicle Exit buttons have been visible on the Pet Bar for any vehicles in any situation.
This is interesting, I was coming in here to ask about a very similar problem. When I use a vehicle, I have no problems getting the vehicle bar, doing the quests or whatever, but I never, ever get the Vehicle Exit button. I have the possession option enabled, so BT4 replaces bar 1 with the possession actions, and all my other bars disappear, which I believe is intended. From talking to other people, I guess Exit is supposed to be button 12, but it remains blank. The first time this happened I figured it was because my bars are 11 buttons long, but I changed them all to 12 and still don't get it. I've been typing /script VehicleExit() to dismount, which is a little cumbersome. Any ideas?
there are 2 issues:
1) If you dont see the red arrow to eject/leave towards the middle of the screen, you are not using the pre-release alpha code that has it.
2) If like are like me, you don't want your bars changing in unpredictable and unwanted ways. Thus, you have "Enabled" *NOT* checked in the "State Configuration" tab of bar 1. With it not checked, I was not able to do several quests, harpoon, flying machine, rescue villagers, plaguewagon..... After much annoyance, I went back to Flying machine, checked enabled, and it worked. I'm still uncordinated, but that is not BT4 related.
These sort of things are quite common and even wowinsider picked it up today.
As i said, i am level 80 and i did every damn quest in the expansion, and i never encountered any problem. So unless you tell me how to reproduce it, or i cannot fix it.
I'll try to explain it as clearly as possible.
Horde side, there is a quest where we have to ride a Meat Wagon (or something) in Borean Tundra. We have to rescue Horde NPCs by using Ability #4. Then we also have to kill the a lot of undead minions.
Without BT4 the vehicle controls are:
Aiming: Up
Aiming: Down
Ability #1
Ability #2
Ability #3
Ability #4
On the eight "skill" button (IIRC) is the Leave Button.
Now on my end, this is my BT4 setup for Bar#1 which is also my Possess Bar.
1) BT4 Bar#1 Keybinding from left to right: ` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 -
2) Pressing Shift, Alt, CTRL shows up pages 10, 9, 8
3) My Possess Bar
Checklist - special note: This is only up to Borean Tundra (after doing Howling Fjord)
a) My Possess Bar/Bar #1 is in full bar mode, thus, it shows 12 Buttons, including the Leave Button - Check; Working as Intended
b) My BT4 Keybinding reflects correctly as the same Keybinding when not using BT4 - ie Blizzard's default "main bar" also shows ` 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - is this intentional? Whatever keybinding I set to my BT4 Bar#1 reflects as the keybinding of Blizzard's "main bar".
c) Testing out other "vehicle" and possess bars - works fine. Example, riding the Mammoth.
d) However, when I ride the Meat vehicle thing, and I press the keys for Ability #1 to #4 it does not work as intended.
Example, if I want to rescue the horde NPC using Ability #4, it just won't activate.
Or if I want to drop mines which is Ability #2 IIRC, it won't activate.
However, when I disable BT4, it all works as intended. Pressing Ability #1, #2, #3, and #4 works alright.
If BT4 is enabled, the only vehicle skill-command that works for me for that particular vehicle, is the Leave button. All the other abilities seems to be messed up.
Now, here's where it becomes confusing, with BT4 enabled:
If I repeatedly press, for example, Ability #4 (to rescue the Horde NPC), as-in literally press it rapidly for like 20secs to 40secs, there is a small chance of it getting "through", and the Horde NPC will be rescued so to speak.
That is as much info that can be given on the front-end. In my case, I did nothing special to arrive to the problem. I simply ride the vehicle and do the quest as instructed, that's all there is to it.
I got the new BT4 yesterday (my local time), but I haven't got the chance to test it. I am not sure if I can ride the vehicle where it bugged for me. Let's hope that I can so I can test it again. Which I am going to test after this post :p
It is sad however, that it can not be traced becase everything seems to work fine on your end, which is understandable. There is no way to fix a bug if we do not understand it ;)
Ok, time to test the new BT4. I really hope I can ride that vehicle again. Coz so far, I haven't encountered any problems, I am in Dragonblight now. Or maybe, I will install the previous BT4 and find another vehicle where I will encounter the bug-ger.
I'm in Wintergrasp now, and while I can get the possess bar up (works out of the box), the catapult abilities are broken. I can click on the buttons, press the hotkeys for the buttons, and nothing works. Curiously though - if I try /cast Plague Barrel it doesn't work either. I'm really not sure what that says though.
[Edit: I disabled Carbonite after hearing that some other people were having no luck with their QuestHelper and now it's working. So I'm thinking it was a conflict on their end. For everyone else having this problem disable Carbonite/QuestHelper and then try it.]

I haven't tried Wintergrasp yet, but FYI, in my case and probably other people, it has nothing to do with Carbonite or QuestHelper because I do not use either of those.
((Off-topic: And secondly, Carbonite is not compatible with QuestHelper, so you will really get errors. I just read what these two addons are :p ))

Anyway, update on my testing.
Sadly, I can not use the vehicle found at Borean Tundra. No, it isn't a Meat Wagon, rather it is a Tank.
I reverted back to the old BT4 version for this testing. Once I find another vehicle where I get the same buttons-not-kicking-in, I will switch to the latest version and back, to possibly identify what could be the culprit.
The newest Alpha should not affect the behaviour of button-clicking, it merely adds a new bar with the pitch commands (up/down) and an additional "Exit" button, which seems to work fine. Guess i'll head to wintergrasp again and try to reproduce something of that.
Edit: Oh well i guess Wintergrasp won't really work, its not even properly starting due to lack of horde on my realm...
I did two quests with a vehicle (wyrmrest daily with the dragon and explorers league flying machine thing in HF)
I tried multiple combinations of settings, and it always worked fine. There is no reason it wouldn't, either. They just behave like "normal" action buttons, with a special id. All i could think of is, that Blizzard is screwing up there, and making it impossible for us to use the mode at all, since their action bar functions differently due to being in a secure environment.
Ok i pushed another Alpha just now (4.2.0-3) which contains some changes to how the buttons work. Please try it and tell me if you still get the errors.
I haven't been able to test this myself yet, but I wonder if it has something to do with bar swapping. Seems like everyone who's reporting this problem has bars changing with modifiers, or they manually rotate their bars. If that's part of the problem, and Nev has all static bars, that might explain why he can't reproduce this.
I'd test this myself, but I'm having too much fun just exploring and slowly doin' stuff, so I haven't even gotten to any vehicle quests yet. :)
Just to add another vehicle issue- "passenger" vehicle slots in LWG don't show a possession bar, even though you need one in order to use the "leave" skill. I'm specifically thinking of the left and right positions in the Siege Tank here.
The issue with the non-existing Leave Button for Passengers has already been adressed in the alpha versions. Currently i only require feedback if the alpha versions improve the button-click behaviour when using Vehicles (for those that had problems in the first place, unlike me)

I'll try that. Going to ding to 77, then I'll enter Wintergrasp. I reverted back to the BT4 version where I first encountered it and see if I'll experience it in Wintergrasp vehicles.
If I do, then I'll switch to the latest Alpha and test.
Btw, yesterday, I tried it with the Dragon vehicle in Dragonblight (using the old version) but I didn't encounter problems (I'm not sure if it has to do with it 'flying' :p ).
Will reply as soon as I tested it in Wintergrasp, old and the latest Alpha. (I really need to find a vehicle where I'll encounter it again... )
Tried the latest alpha in Wintergrasp and it works just fine, even with Carbonite enabled. You got it, awesome!
(Side note - we won with the Alliance breaking through the keep doors with a minute to spare. Wintergrasp is BADASS. Get the latest alpha and get out there!)
Greetings! I have one request, can make that when took in the purpose of the friend the purpose or automatically joined necessary Bar, it is very convenient when play for a shadow priest if in the friend it is necessary to treat someone, simply take it in the purpose, and in Bars already all costs as it is necessary and it is possible to treat easy when back enemy all to change back. About impatience I look forward to hearing.
;)

thanks. Logging to WoW......
If you're really interested in helping, you could try the 4.1.2 version and see if it bugs there, too. :)
On another note, are all of you with issues playing a class with a pet ? If so, try dismissing your pet before using a vehicle and see if it still errors.
I'd heard the "dismiss pet" trick, and I tried it before the latest alpha, which didn't fix the issue. Thankfully the latest alpha DID fix the issue, so sweet.
The new bartender versions make my regular blizzard actionbars vanish. They just don't show, same goes for the vehicle bars. New alpha version doesn't fix the problem for me. The only version that works right now is one of the older versions: Bartender4 4.1.1. I hope you can fix that;(

Thats intended behaviour. You have to use Bartender4 to rebuild your bars, the default bars are not supposed to be used anymore.
Why would you, anyway?
ok, perhaps a stupid question. But I can't move the buttons. When I loaded it, all my buttons suddenly shifted to the center of the screen, blocking my view, and I can't move them to where I want them. When I went into options, it said that it was on the TODo list.
