BT3 will definately break when 3.0 hits the servers. I don't really see which features are missing from BT4, short of the roll bar and exp/rep bar, which i simply decided to remove.
BT3 was discontinued because I just don't want to maintain two addons that essentially do the same. Plus it really wasn't maintainable anymore. I want to be able to work on new features, especially with 3.0 adding so much more flexibility. And i just couldn't do that with the old Ace2-BT3 code.
So, just live with it, and replace the Exp/Rep Bar and Roll-Bar stuff with other addons.
Been using BT3 for as long as I can remember now, I'm a big fan of progression and all, but I've also been using Modality for the last 8 months to help manage targeting based on if my focus exists and is friendly... makes for a great focus-fire auto assist... any chance of that being implimented in BT4 before release of lich king or should I start shopping for a new bar mod that does?
The Wrath/3.0 version of BT4 has big input boxes to allow you to control paging and hide/show with any macro conditions you can think of, so i'm pretty sure you don't need Modality anymore :)

Excellent! I'll fire up the beta this weekend and verify it suits my needs, I'll be back with some form of unrealistic demands that you implement for free... :)
I added some stuff today again for the 3.0 version
- Leave Vehicle Button on the Possess Bar
The button is on slot 12 of the possess bar, the possess bar itself only uses 1-10. If you use a bar thats shorter then 12 buttons as your possess bar, the only solution right now is to macro "/script VehicleExit();", sorry.
- Fixed some stuff with auto-assist
You can actually disable it again, for some reason that was lost, and fixed a bug with targeting friendly targets for offensive spells.
Currently i'm reconsidering adding a XP/Rep Bar. Its true that BT4 does hide it, but doesn't give you any way to restore it. I guess i'll add a very simple one. Lets see...
What exactly is the latest version? 4.0.1-1-g9d6bc2b according to Bar4's File's page, but the versionnumber is the same on other versions aswell. And in the changelog i see

Says october 1 in the changelog, very confusing :/
I could not find the answer to this when I scanned the forum.... I just loaded bartender 4 yesterday and for the life of me I can not find the experience bar anymore.... am I missing something obvious??

by the way... excellant tool
The experience Bar is coming back with 3.0. Bear with me for those 2 days until the patch hits, and you'll have it back :)
I'm curious, I skimmed through, but didn't see a note: is there a reason that the roll bar was removed from 4? That was one of the things i loved with 3, was i could finally use one mod to move the rollbar out of the way of where I moved the rest of them.
Edit: Oh, and will you be making the micro-menu able to be vertical as well as the rest?
Hah! Thanks! :) I figured I might have missed some answers, skimming forums with a migraine isn't the brightest things I've done today, but it's better than trying to hide from all light and noise.
The vertical Micromenu was done already, although only a toggle right now (completely horizontal or completely vertical), that may change some time.
The Roll Bar, well I really didn't see a point to include it. It has some issues, and i personally didn't use it at all. Its not exactly action bar related at all.

Thanks for the hard work either way :).
Just in case Nev says no.

Only a cosmetic thing of course.
