Hi, I have used Bartender3 for a looong while and just swapped to bt4 the other day.
I had one error with bt3 that I hoped was sorted by bt4, but its not.
Im a hunter, and as so I use a few macro's. One of them is supposed to click another button to activate another macro. And there is where my problem is.
First time in combat I use this macro combination at every logon or /rl I will get a message that Bartender4 has performed "bad" action, and I get the option to disable or ignore the error. If I press ignore, everything function 100% as intended anyway!? So its not like any action is being blocked from doing, but I still get this warning.... And I had the same error with bt3 the last few weeks, but not before that. Must had been a patch that broke it, or a library change?
I have troubleshooted it so I know its the "/click" part that causes the error, but as I said the strange thing is that it still works...? Are you able to fix this, is it even posible?
J/w are there any slash commands implemented for bt4 yet? Or is it possible to load a profile through a macro?
Basically with the new ace3, profiles are created for each character, however, I want to fix up my ui on one character, get everything in place then run a macro on every other character and any new ones I create that will load this default profile for all the ace3 mods rather than going into the options for some 4 or 5 mods amongst like 12 characters.

I did, I tried /bt and /bt4 profile choose default as it seems standard amongst other addons, but all it does is bring up the config, not actually change the profile.

If a bar is not enabled, the buttons are not created. If you want a hidden bar that reacts to hotkeys only, set it to "Enabled" and "Always Hide"
after todays patch (WOTLK) i am no longer am able to self buff by hinting intellect and unable to conjure mana stones. everything esle on my bars seems to work as intended

I have tried Bartender4 and like it but there is one feature keeping me from switching from Bartender3. Specifically, Bartender3 has FuBar support which make it easy to lock and unlock buttons. I switch things for quests, etc. in and out frequently but like to keep my buttons locked. With Bartender4 it does not seem there is any way to easily lock and unlock buttons (other than going into the setup). Any way to hotkey or macro turning button lock on and off?

Just hold shift+left click(and hold) a button on a bar to move it when you have the bars locked.
Is there a way to save action bar sets in BT4? I switch between PVP and PVE quite regularly and to a lesser extent a tanking spec too. Can this be done in BT4 or is there an additional mod that can do this alongside it?
Hi, would it be possible to add option to show button tooltips only with modifier? I usually dont need to see tooltip in combat, but sometimes I want to check the tooltip with DrDamage info. So it would be really nice if I could see the tooltip only with for example control pressed. Other than that great mod ;)
When I try and open the options with /bt i can't see any options (see attached image) and get the following error

I'm getting a similar prob with kgpanels which I just posted in, I'm guessing some other mod is interfering with both, I'll try and figure out which one.
After switching from BT3 to BT4 I'm not getting any spells to self-cast on me when not targeting anyone.
With BT3 I would cast whatever I was trying to cast on me if I didn't have any target selected, assuming it was a friendly spell being casted ie. an heal.
With BT4 I get this annoying blue hand on my screen demanding I choose a target. The only way I've been able to bypass it is to macro the spell via "/cast <spell name here>". Then it casts the spell on me when not targeting anyone.
I use keybindings for all my casts so right-clicking doesn't apply.
I have tried all possible settings in the config under Bars and Self-cast by modifier and Right-click self-cast, just to see if any of those settings was messing it all up.
Am I missing something really simple, or have this feature not been carried over from BT3 to BT4?

Yes, there is a working Wrath-compatible version of Bartender4.
