It only goes away once it's been placed on an action bar. If you change specs and it hasn't been placed yet, leaving your garrison and returning will reprompt you to add the ability to your bars.
To force it to show:
/run DraenorZoneAbilityFrame:Show()
To place the spell directly on your cursor:
/run PickupSpell(161691)
Regarding Bartender4 needing to add support for this, I see no logical reason to replicate existing functionality in this case.

Is there a possible way to set it up to change the keybindings when changing specs. i have a pve and pvp spec and when i switch profiles the keybindings remain the same. I have tried several setting it up several different ways but it keeps the old keybindings when switching specs.
BT4 doesn't save any keybindings itself, it just uses the game's standard keybinding system. However, there are addons that will let you save keybinding profiles and swap between them. The first one that came up in a search was Binder but there are others if you want to look for them.
hi there, i am trying to get bartender to work, there is only one thing i don't get:
mouseover doensn't work for me, at all, and it is the main reason why i want to use bartender. it would save me from having to make a macro for every of my spells.
i haven't set a modifier for mouseover, and i set a bar to use mouseover. i put a spell on the bar which is castable on enemy targets, mouseover an enemy, use the keycombo for the spell -> "You have no target"
if i actually target an enemy, and mouseover another enemy -> i attack my actual target
am i missing something obvious?
i saw this problem has been submitted as a bug and is supposed to be fixed.
well it appears not so for me :(
i also had clique enabled, so it appears both addons mess with each other if used at the same time, which is fine by me since i was testing both for the same purpose.
I am unable to collapse my quest helper winder on screen when bartender is active for only one of my toons. Any reason why that may be?
Most likely you have an (empty) action bar occupying the same area on the screen as the collapse button. Type /bt4, unlock your bars, and look for green rectangles. If you're not using those bars, find them in the options (eg. "Bar 4") and uncheck the "Enable" box. If you're only using part of the bar, and don't want to move it, you can change the number of buttons so the bar area is smaller (eg. if you only 4 of the 10 buttons on the bar, just set it to only have 4 buttons, so it only takes up 4 buttons worth of screen space).
You can also use the game's /framestack command to explore which frames are underneath the mouse cursor; this will be helpful if it's not actually a Bartender bar.
If neither of those help, make sure you have "Display Lua Errors" turned on under Interface Options > Help. It's possible an addon (maybe Bartender, maybe something else) is actually breaking the quest window; if there's an error message, it should give more information about the problem.
Posting a question that has probably been asked somewhere before and if so please forgive me. Why hasn't BT4 ever addressed the potential for flyout buttons similar to those used by the addon Autobar? That is a bar with buttons dedicated to the display and use of particular types of useable possessions rather only one spell or object?
If you want to create custom flyouts, you can use FlyoutButtonCustom in conjunction with BT4 (and several other action bar addons, and the default action bars).
I have a big problem (for me) that there is a clickable space between the buttons, where i can change target or camera angle and stuff like that. Is there any way to fix this? Without remove the padding because i don't like how the bars look when i do that and with no padding there is a greater chance to miss-click on other ability.
How would i go about choosing a profile from an addon?
For instance, in an addon i am writing, i have class-based profiles for bartender4, so upon first logon of a character, i would like to automatically set their profile to a specific one. Been digging through the source code, just haven't come across a hook yet on where this could be done.
I am having trouble with the Vehicle Bar. I cannot get the vehicle bar to show when I am in a vehicle so I don't know what the default key binders are or what they are suppose to do and I am unable to dismount the vehicle. I have tried all options available on the /bartender.
Is it possible to disable the proc/spell/crit flash on a per bar basis?
I don't need it to flash when certain spells or abilities trigger (not even sure the name for this ability) when their crit strike/proc/spell flash goes off?
Below is an example of what I mean
I would love to disable this ability per bar basis without the need to make a macro for every spell to try and game the ui to not do this.
Hi, I have been trying to set up my hotbars and it seems to bar 1 and bar 7 use the same icons and bar 3 and 8 are also the same.
Is there anyway to fix this.
I have tried removing the bartender file from the WTF folder and also reinstalled bartender from curse.
Thanks
Depending on your class, its expected that Bar 1 mirrors some other bar, since that is controlled by which stance you are in. Its all configurable in Bartender however.
Any other bars do not come with such a pre-defined config, so if Bar 3 matches Bar 8, you did some configuration to make it so.

Yep, that did the trick, thanks!!

I'm a paladin and use both the Holy and Protection specializations but I want to use different keybinds for Holy and Prot specs.
Or maybe you know of another addon that fulfills this function?
