Using MoP beta 3 I'm having an issue where the MainMenuBar blocks mouse input in an area larger than expected. This is with only Bartender enabled. I created a texture with all points set to demonstrate: http://i.imgur.com/VSAE3.jpg
Charges of skills are not being displayed properly on beta3 version.
Examples are the Warlock skills Conflagrate and Hand of Gul'dan. Each skill has two charges, each charge with its own CD, and the number of currently available charges isn't displayed on the Bartender bars.
How does the default UI display that? Screenshot possible so i don't have to go hunt for it? :)
Sure, no problem. This is how they are displayed when all charges are available (look at the skill that has a purple falling meteor as an icon, where the red arrow is pointing).
Just like it were an item in your bag, the amount is displayed at the bottom right of the button.
When you use the first charge, the first CD starts to count. The skill is not greyed out as a skill on CD normally would be, since there is still a charge to be used. Nonetheless, you can see a rotating "pointer" to indicate the CD of the first charge. Here are two screenshots so you can check out how the pointer looks like:
And, of course, every time you use a charge, the amount is updated in the bottom right corner.
I guess it would be better for you to understand if you just created a level 85 warlock on beta and took a look for yourself. Hand of Gul'dan is a Demonology skill and Conflagrate is a Destruction skill. Both skills behave exactly the same on this issue.
I installed your Addon about a month ago and it has been working great! Thanks for that.
But Today I updated all my addons through WowMatrix and when I logged in, my whole UI that I set up with bt4 was messed up. Before logging in I activated Tidy Plates again, which was causing some Lua errors before (at least thats what I think was causing it). But anyway, most of my custom bars were gone, the blizzard art bar was displayed (even though I didn't set it that way) etc. I tried some things:
I uninstalled and installed again through Wow Matrix
I uninstalled and installed again through Curse.com
And I tried disabling Tidy Plates again
But after every attempt, when I logged in, I got a bunch of Lua Errors and The UI still wasn't working properly. Also, I couldn't add the bars that I lost back because the options 'enable' wasn't available for most bars, Or any other option in the 'General' section for that matter. Besides that, the bars kept disappearing even though I checked the 'Visibility' section for any causes...
Thats about the whole story I think. I hope you can help me out because I would hate to go back and play with the normal UI. If you need any more info to resolve this, I'm very new to the site and don't rly know yet how to track my posts or replies. pleas, feel free to e-mail: ruben-war@hotmail.com
So Floraline recently released an addon, mostly a proof of concept, that creates a flyout bar (like the mage's teleport flyout button) which can then be added to the default Blizzard actionbar. Tested, this does not transfer to the Bartender actionbar. I'd love to make this happen, but I don't know enough LUA to hook the flyout addon to work with Bartender. Any chance you could take a look? This addon is brilliant.
While Floraline doesn't mention in the description how to access the addon, bring up your spellbook, there's a red "Flyout" button up in corner, that'll get you started.
EDIT: In testing, seems as if the new flyout button can be dropped onto the Bartender actionbars, but the icon will not show up and is not interactive. If you deactivate Bartender at that point, you can locate the flyout button on the native actionbar.
Small bug happening with me. when i log in i get my rep and XP bars show up, not fussed about the xp bar as i guess it's waiting for me to ding 90 before it vanishes to oblivion again, but the rep bar also comes up showing full purple (like your levelling un-rested) i go into my rep menu and select what i want to track, click track as XP bar and it vanishes, uncheck the box and the bar comes up exactly as it should.
another issue i am having (although it might not be bartender) when i change back into demon form my buttons have moved and i have CoE on my mouse (like i was half way thru using it)
EDIT: turned off every addon except bartender. the rep bar issue is still there.
Button issue is happening no matter what addons i have going, (including BT off) not a bartender issue)
I'm in the process of making a small plugin for Bartender, which involves manipulating the stance buttons, so I'm looking to somehow hook the updating of the stance bar. Got any tips as how to do this in a good way? I first had my own frame monitoring the same events as the stance bar, but my OnEvent seemed to run before the stance bar's, so the buttons weren't created yet. I thought of hooking the stance bar's own methods, but I wasn't sure how to get a reference to the StanceBar object. (Bartender4:GetModule("StanceBar") returns a string?)
I first noticed when trying to do the Whack-a-Gnoll daily quest on the Darkmoon Faire today: The Vehicle UI presented when holding the hammer on that quest did not respond to my keybindings (I pressed the button to swing the hammer, but my mage tried to do a frostbolt instead, which I usually have bound to that button). Afterwards, I checked the Vehicle UI on the Ramkahen daily quest Fire From the Sky (because there's no time-limit like on all the Darkmoon quests). There, my keybinding worked without problems, but when I tried to look at Bartenders Vehicle Bar settings, I realized that what I was seeing was actually the default Blizzard Vehicle UI, because changes to the settings only affected a second "Leave vehicle" button, apparently all that is left of the Bartender UI. Screenshot: http://i46.tinypic.com/2aiotus.jpg
I tried disabling the Blizzard UI in the main settings, but that left me with only the small button and nothing else. Using 4.5.3-3.
Its intended that the Blizzard UI takes over on such quests.
I just tested myself, and it works just fine for me.
The Blizzard UI Vehicle interface that comes up there will take over the keybindings from Bartender Bar #1, so it'll only work properly if thats your main bar, of course, but its the same concept as with "real" vehicles like the Ramkahen quest.
There was a bug before 4.5.3 that caused it not to re-assign the keybindings properly on non-vehicle quests like the Whack-a-Gnoll quest, but since 4.5.3 it should be working fine (and is for me)

Ah, ok that might be my problem, I noticed the problem with whack a gnoll, went to Uldum, tested it there, dl'd the latest version and still got the default Blizzard UI, so I assumed the keybinding thing not to work either. My fault, will test later. Thanks for the quick answer anyway.
With the Darkmoon Faire, there have been some issues with the patch itself but I am also seeing issues with my action bars.
I always keep bar 1 reserved for the vehicle buttons. I never assign any functions to them and I disable the Blizzard Vehicle ui in my settings. Normally, this is fine. The vehicle buttons show up on their assigned numbers under bar 1, whether it's for 'Aces High' or for the faire games. I never had a problem.
After Sunday, at the Faire for all the various games you have to do, the Blizzard ui shows up, even if 'disable' is checked. Bar 1 doesn't seem to have the same default function any longer as in some cases, I can use the number 1 key to click - the 1 (for instance) shows up on the vehicle icon. But in other cases, it looks like the icon is not assigned any default and I have to mouse click it. In some cases, clicking 1 key works but other times, not. It seems random.
I understand that this may not be part of the Bartender lua code but if someone could give me some pointers to where I might find some possible solutions, I would appreciate it. I would prefer to have my action bars controlled by Bartender, even the vehicle one.
I just switched to BT4 since Macaroon seems to have broken with 5.0.4.
How can I get it to pass the button values from one toon to another? I tried both selecting and copying the profile, but I don't get the buttons. I have several hunters and I want to set them up once.

Don't do that.
And if you are from the EU, you probably updated to the version that is meant for patch 5.0.4 which will be released tomorrow.

Ok, sorry to hear that. I liked how I could scale the Vehicle UI down a little with Bartender in cata, guess that's history now. Ah well.
