I'm not responsible for other addons.
I did change quite alot in the addon internals, and if the authors want to fix them, i'll be glad to provide the information.
I will implement some changes that are needed to query the full information about the buttons over the weekend.
Anything else is in the hands of the authors of those addons.
As Raven's author, I secretly hoped that InlineAuras would be fixed first so that I could see how it was changed to work with Bartender4 :). I'd be happy to go first though if the info is available. Mainly I need to be able to determine what action is associated with a button. And then I'll verify that my highlighting overlay and optional LibButtonFacade calls still operate properly.
I'm having an issue with the Vehicle UI. It seems that the Vehicle Exit button is missing for any vehicle I jump into. I've been using /run VehicleExit() or numpad5 so it's not a major issue just a little annoying. I've been reading through the past posts and it seems you fixed an issue similar to this around 4.2.0-3 so I've tried a few things with my settings I still can't get that button to appear.
Thank you so much for your work on this mod and bringing it up-to-date for Cataclysm.
I know when an updated BT4 for 4.0.1 came out a few days ago, one of the issues was that the main action bar was missing the keybindings 1 through =. This appears to be fixed now in the latest version, as the mod maps 1 through = through the WoW keybindings menu option. I also noticed my bindings.wtf file has these listed as well.
Did Blizzard remove these keybindings from the default UI, so the only way to bring them back to pre-4.0.x is to actually re-map them? I'm curious as to what's going on.
Pre-4.0 Bartender used some ugly hack that simply re-used the bindings on bar1. With the new ActionButton code, i didn't want to do that again, because its supposed to be more universal, and the bar actually doesnt know that its Bar 1, it just knows to display soem actions.
ActionBar 1 - Mutilate hotkeys
ActionBar 5 - Stealth hoykeys
ActionBar 6 - Backstab hotkeys (basically puts Backstab in the same keybinding as Mutilate)
I used the in-game keybindings to manually swap ActionBar1 to ActionBar 6 when the target gets to ~35% so I can start in on the Backstab portion of my rotation. I have another keybinding to swap me back from 6 to 1.
The problem happens with the Stealth swapping action. If I'm on my normal ActionBar1, when I hit Stealth, ActionBar 5 swaps in normally (this is the bar I have set up as my Stealth bar in Bartender4).
But if I'm currently in my ActionBar6 Backstab setup(that I swapped in using ActionBar Paging), it doesn't change to ActionBar5 when I go into Stealth.
I've tried setting up ActionBar 6's Steath Stance Configuration to swap to ActionBar 5, but it just seems to ignore it, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Activating Modifier Based Switching on Bar1 does change it to my Stealth bar when I've paged to my Backstab bar (6), but of course I'd have to hold down that key (Shift for instance) to keep it on that bar.
I can always manually swap back to ActionPage 1 when I'm stealthed and it will call up the Stealth bar, but I kinda hate that extra step. I would rather have it just change to the Stealth bar automatically when I stealth.
Out of Range Indicator "Hotkey Mode" doesn't work for me. Everything stays "white" no matter what range I am from a mob. Full button mode do works tho.
I'm having this same problem. It's not a huge issue, but as a warrior, having the full button mode on means you can't tell if you have rage enough for the ability if you are out of range.
Edit: I think I've found the problem. It looks like it might have just been a typo (though I'm not familiar enough with lua or bartender's code to make that conclusion). If I change libs\LibActionButton-1.0\LibActionButton-1.0.lua:719 to read
if inRange == 0 then
if valid == 0 then
everything seems to work. I may be causing a different problem elsewhere though, I'm not sure.
Er, what I mean is that it used to be that 1 through = were assigned to the MainBar. BT took control of those bindings when enabled. When disabled, they were reverted back to the MainBar. They're not reverting now. I guess it's what tennberg is talking about in #2044. Just wanted to make sure that it was WAI. :p
I'm trying to make an addon which will switch my profiles on several addons for me. The only problem is that I have no idea WTF I'm doing.
I saved two profiles in Bartender called "Heal" and "DPS". Now I have in my addon some slash commands that are working for /heal and /dps. They call very simple functions, like so:
Can I stick in here a bit of code to switch between my profiles in Bartender? Maybe something to try to call one of your functions like UpdateModuleConfigs? Or Bartender4DB.SetProfile("DPS") ? I have put the AceEvent Library in there.
Hey Nev, what's going on with the thick gray borders around the icons since 4.0.1? Is this something Bartender4 can control? Would love to remove these and go back to the pre-patch look of the button borders.
