I can't understand what's with Blizz and their five thousand slashes, but I won't be considering the LFM one a FP. I think I'll exclude chat lines with an item link from the scan, should be the easiest way to solve this.

yeah, I only Xed the char name.
But I mean, shouldn't it be trying to either block the whole message or nothing of it? if it only blocks some lines, the result is imho worse than not blocking anything.

Will there be an option to get the "old" ASCII art filter back, or at least disable it completely?
Because I don't want things filtered just because there are many exclamation/question marks.

well, you could just block all msgs from that person for 1sec or so; would also block the legitimate trade skill link but well... his fault :P

I can if you want but it means you will have to deal with any gold spam that uses ASCII art (a la page 82) as they will not be going into the database.
