I'm CTRL-Click a nave for a toon that have multiple mails with multiple attachments. Sometimes, only the first one of only one of the mail is extracted.
Excample: 3 mail, mail 1 = 12 attachments, mail 4 = 12 attachments, mail 9 = 9 attachments.
Result (this has just happened to me): 9 attachments from mail 9 extracted, 1 attachment from mail 4 extracted, 12 attachments from mail 1 extracted. 11 attachments from mail 4 were left in the mail box.
When I try to AutoOpen all my messages it will hang on any regular mail with text from another player and will refuse to move past that message until I manually go delete that message.
The issue with attachments was fixed a while ago. I'll test the latest alpha to see if the fix still hold.
The issues with attachments wasn't fixed fully in the post 3 weeks ago. The "partial fix" would hang on any mail with text in it. Hence you will need the full fix.
a minor quibble/bug?, the name shortcut drop down list in the compose window is faded mostly behind the composition window itself; sorry for the poor description, not sure how else to put it. You can still mostly see the names in the list, they're just sort of hidden/grayed behind the frame. otherwise the addon works fine for me in 3.3

thanks for doing this addon and others
This bug is due to useless code introduced by Blizzard into the default UI. They added a self:SetFrameLevel(2) to the OnLoad of menu buttons for no reason I can see, and in the process, all new buttons can potentially end up behind the menu they are attached to.
Just found a major issue with this add-on. If you are mailing high priced items, over 10k it can let you think you are setting the CoD to more than 10k but when the mailer recieves the item it only asks for 10k still so you can easily lose out on a lot of gold with this add-on as i did last night.
This is how to recreate the bug.
Player 1 sends player 2 a mail.
Player 2 opens that mail and clicks reply.
You then place the item to be CoD'd into the mail.
You then click CoD before entering an amount. If you write the amount before clicking CoD you will get the error message still.
You then enter your amount.e.g. 15000g
Send is not greyed out, there is no error message and you can now click send. With 15000g as the value in the CoD box.
Click send.
Player 1 opens the mail and tries to take the item and it says "you need to pay 10000g to receive this item".
Player 1 accepts.
Player 2 then receives payment in the mail.
Player 2 opens their mail and only receives 10000g although they sent the mail with 15000g CoD.
The bug you have reported is valid, and it has been fixed. I have immediately pushed a new release version of Postal (3.3.1) with the fix as this is quite a serious oversight indeed.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and hope that you are able to retrieve the missing gold from who you sold your item to. A GM would be able to assist you otherwise if there are chat logs that can confirm you are intending to sell the item for more than 10k.
Even with the addon Postal which allows you to click âopen allâ to retrieve all of your mail automatically, you must wait for 30 seconds after it auto loots the 50 mails to refresh the mailbox for the next set of 50 then manually right click the mailbox to start the retrieving process again.
Well there is a new addon that was developed by Zerotorescue. What it does is reload your mailbox every 10 seconds and attempts to auto loot the mailbox, using postal, so that you can be alt tabbed or AFK while automatically retreiving every single mail you have even if its more than 50.
Eevee7, I cannot imagine that is legitmate in WoW. It's one click one action. If the addon is running every 10 seconds to reload your mailbox and then opening the mailbox and getting your mail, it would be an automation and I would think against the rules.
If you don't want to wait the full 60 seconds that mail can take to refresh, just create a macro of "/console reloadui" and assign it to a key or button. After postal finishes emptying the current 50 mail items, hit the reload. Once the loading screen closes, you can open the mailbox and get your next batch of mail.

At the moment postal have a one click open 50 mail bottom. And it can be done only using an addon, so it not against the rules

I do know the /reloadui trick, but using this addon at can get 50+ mail while being afk
An interesting issue.
Two bank toons in the same bank guild. Same WoW and Bnet account. Both use Postal and QuickAuctions. The other addons are the same. The two toons use the same profiles for Postal and QuickAuctions. The first one was able to loot all 50 mails within 20 seconds. It took the second one about 40 seconds to loot 50 mails. The looting speed setting was set at 0.3 seconds.
The time is so precise because QuickAuctions displays a countdown timer in the mailbox.
The first toon was located in Exodar. The second one was initially stationed in Darnassus. But after I moved it to Exodar the looting speed has improved and now matches that of the first toon. Amazing :)
PS: I was able to regulate the looting speed for the second bugged toon from 5 seconds to like 1.5-2 seconds. It couldn't get faster. So Postal must be working. There must be something else that can affect the looting speed. New TBC servers perhaps?
Postal must be working in overdrive if it managed to loot 50 mails in 20 seconds (averaging 0.25s per mail) with a loot speed setting of 0.30s lol.
In any case, the "looting speed" is merely how often Postal checks to see if it should loot the next item. If the current item hasn't been looted into your bags, it will check again "looting speed" seconds later, so a slightly faster looting speed may result in double the amount of time needed as it would be doing 2 checks per item rather than 1 check per item.
In a more ideal case, it would be faster to continuously check for looting the next item every frame after the first "looting speed" seconds. As it is, the 40 seconds vs 20 seconds scenario does match what the code currently does, and server lag will cause variations.
It would be awesome if the mod could pull from people's B-Net characters on my friends list.
Not sure how it would do it, but yeah. Maybe it starts to create a database of your friend's chars after seeing them online.
Postal currently does pull people's B-Net characters on your friends list - but only if they are online. I'll probably add the storage part some time. Adding them to database after seeing them isn't the tricky part - its adding the ability to remove a particular nick. :)
Posting here a copy of ticket 25 I placed two weeks ago for Postal in case it was missed there.
Postal r290, WoW 3.3.5 live, USEnglish client/server. Open mailbox, click the Postal options dropdown arrow button on the top right of the mailbox frame and:
["message"] = "AceLocale-3.0: Postal: Missing entry for 'CarbonCopy':\nPostal-3.3.2\\Postal.lua:249: in function `initFunction'\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIDropDownMenu.lua:69: in function `UIDropDownMenu_Initialize':\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIDropDownMenu.lua:737: in function `ToggleDropDownMenu':\nPostal-3.3.2\\Postal.lua:128: in function <Interface\\AddOns\\Postal\\Postal.lua:123>\n\n ---",
["type"] = "error",
["session"] = 216,
["counter"] = 1
Does not affect the "copy" button showing up in the upper right of mail text frame or its functionality. But its an issue with the error popping up every time you open the options dropdown.

I've added workaround code for this. Sigh.

To send 60 stacks of ore, you need a total of 65 clicks (60 clicks for 60 stacks and 5 clicks to send 5 mails of 12).

Really only 60 clicks, if you're paying attention, since you can press Alt on every 12th stack to auto-send the mail. ;)
