Have you also tried deleting Postal and your Postal saved variables, and re-downloading it?
Removing these lines didn't worked. Then I deleted all Postal related files from my wtf and addons folders, d/l'ed newest version of Postal and voila. It's finally working, and I love it. Thank you very much for your help!
All you people complaining that you lose items with Postal... just don't use the auto-open feature for valuable items or large sums of gold. I've never lost anything, but it doesn't seem that hard to make a couple extra clicks if you're worried about it. The rest of the addon's features are still very useful even if you don't use auto-open...
Or just shift-click on the mail entry in the inbox list to take your items/gold. I have never lost anything with Postal either.
I still use postal, because I like it but...I did lose gold once, but only once before I learned that lesson, and lucky me it was only 15g. I always open important mail manually then I will autoopen everything else...:)
What is the purpose of the "MailFrameTab_OnClick(1)" function call in function Postal_Forward:Reset() that is called on MAIL_CLOSED and PLAYER_LEAVING_WORLD in Internals\Forward.lua?
As far as I can tell, all it does is make a very extremely annoying sound on every logging/zoning out (which is PlaySound("igSpellBookOpen")). Can this be removed?

The single mod I've found for mass mailing that actually works properly in WoW 2.0/2.1 without errors or problems: Guild Mailing List (Fan Update). Will let you send mass mail to your guild and/or friends.
The "original" version of that mod at this link is not fully WoW 2.x compatible. It uses obsolete LUA references, despite the fact the last version of it came out after the one above.
Both versions appear to be out of development, so don't know if they'll work in WoW 2.2.
so 2.2 sale pending messages, can we get some sort of filter for this or do i have to use the check boxs?
what a ridiculous thing to do really, was there a lot of spam or something trying to take the form of auction sales?
According to Euro GM's, they've done it to allow for better logging to see where mail is coming from and going to. To take out those gold sellers and farmers and account thieves.
Not sure why they think spamming player mailboxes with utterly useless junk is going to improve mail logging... that kind of thing should all be invisible to users, and Blizz should be handling it on the backend. :(
Apparently the latest gold seller tactic is for the gold buyer to put up one low level item for a low price and then the gold seller buys it for 100G. Repeat as necessary for the amount of gold you paid for. So, by delaying the auction proceeds an hour they can catch some of the perps in the act.
I think the mail items saying you've got money coming in an hour is totally a waste. Hopefully it's a temp, stand in until people get used to the fact that auction proceeds take an hour to arrive and eventually it'll go away.
I do all my auctions on a dedicated alt, since it's a pain to keep track of auctions across 4 different characters, so it's not the delay that bothers me, but rather logging on to check on auctions and having a mailbox full of 40 "sale pending" messages that by that time aren't even relevant. Although I'm not sure how the delay prevents gold selling either... does Blizzard really have people check every single auction to make sure the sale price is reasonable for the item sold?
Postal is quite an awesome mod which helped me working more efficient in WoW. However what I am still looking for is a possibility to mass send COD-messages. Looks like spam, huh? But yesterday I was asked to craft just some ammunition and so did I. Furthermore I was asked to send them by COD mail. That was the moment I had to send over 50 Mails one-by-one. Is there a way to keep COD-Settings for Alt-Click-Send?
Where is the postal web page and/or documentation?
This thread talks about a bunch of things here and there, but I want to know where I can go to see the current documentation and find a link to the current version.

.. and GM says no way to get it back... ugh... well not using postal anymore can't take that chance again.
example:
To: {myDistributionList}
Subject = Party Friday
Body = Meet in SW at 6pm, bring yer bathing suits!

Hmmmm ok then...
Feature Request:
Please add mass mail distribution list support. Using existing Postal_BlackBook would be great!
example:
To = {My_Postal_BlackBook_List1}
Subject = Party Friday!
Body = Meet in SW at 6pm, bring yer bathing suits!

Anyway, enough thread hijacking. :P

Thanks so far :)

At the end of the day it's a pretty simple mod..
On the inbox:
Click a button to process all mail, check some boxes and click a button to process selected mail
On the send mail tab:
Enter/choose a recipient and alt click an item in inventory to "auto send" it .
