I don't know what you are asking. I.e. what is "damage focus"?
There's a stat underneath time called damage focus. It usually gives a number between 1 and 2 and some percentage in parentheses. What exactly is it measuring?
As for the time thing, I think if you're not doing any damage to the target, recount isn't adding that to you time. Hence why me(shadow destro) and a mage(arcane) had lower time totals than the dps warrior and rogues.
Hey there... I wish this post was going to have more useful information, but I didn't have much time to test this out.
For a couple weeks now, in Hyjal, I've seen my FPS drop from a normal in combat ~60FPS to <5FPS, sometimes just 1. I saw others on the WoW forums saying similar, and guildies, so I just tried to struggle through.
Last night, in BT, a guildie mentioned that disabling BOTH Omen and Recount shot his performance back up to normal. Previous to doing anything, my performance in BT was similarly crappy to in Hyjal (5-10FPS in combat, closer to 100 out of combat). So... I tried it, disabled both and to my surprise it worked. My performance jumped back up to the norm. I tried re-enabling both addons one at a time. First Recount w/o Omen and then Omen w/o Recount... both times performance was bad again. The only time it was back to normal was with both disabled.
For what it's worth, with both addons, I have tried removing and reinstalling and deleting all the (global and toon-specific) settings files several times.
Anyway, I know this is probably worthless without more info, if there is something specific I can do, please let me know.
I am running a reasonably decent system, Athlon 64 dual core processor, 3GB of RAM, 2 nvidia 8 series cards in SLI, etc... operating system wise I am running Linux and WoW via WINE although the other person who mentioned the idea to me runs WinXP.
I will test tonight and see if the problem persists hiding the window and/or disabling the global data collect as you've requested.
Thank you for the quick response, it is appreciated (as is all your hard work on the addon itself).
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I have the "Record Time Data" option deselected, but when I was looking through the graphs I noticed a section that listed my time in combat and then broke it down to how much time for each fight, ect. So as I said not sure if this time data is what is meant by the config option, just reporting incase. Here's a screen shot of the graph display and my settings.
@codex: Can you forward this to the bagnon maintained and see if he can resolve it. The issue shouldn't exist without bagnon and recount plays nicely with other addons using ace3, so I'd bet it's a bagnon issue.
The pie-chart windows are not time-data (called graph) windows.
Right click your bars and you'll see there are views for details, realtime and graph displays. The graph display shows time data.
"Time data" is keeping actual time events to plot as graphs, so can see after everything is over how damage etc evolved over time. This is much more detailed information than adding up how much total time was spent doing X which is just storing an accumulative number.
Detail view shows these accumulative numbers only and are currently always collected. I'm exploring ways to have that be more configurable, but that's what it is for now.
I have a quick question about recount. The reset button and scroll buttons end up in the middle of my combat log half all the time. Is there anyway to fix this and get the icons back on the main bar properly?
About the stutter. If I turn off global data collection the stutter stops. But this also stops all dps reporting as well. So its not even a fix. The other thing I noticed about the stutter. Is it start off small, you see a split second stutter every 1 second. And it'll just keep getting worse till it affects your game play.
The stutter seemed to be worse on boss fights vs trash. May have been just coincidence though.
@galvin: Mostly I'm trying to track down the issue, hence I asked about global data collect. In fact the main clue so far is taht if the window is closed the problem disappears, which makes me believe it's an issue in the bar display code. I did make changes there so I'll explore that. I haven't seen any stutter myself so it's hard to track for me for now.
After few recent updates I have same issue as some person mentioned before: after exit WoW just 'hangs', and I basically need to reset computer.
This has started happening just within past few days.
Also, I've noticed a bug in Recount: my main toon is a warrior, and when I click to check statistics for damage taken, all I see it number of hits on me, while parry/dodge is at 0, which is offcourse wrong.
This was working like a week or so ago, but after some update it broke down. It may even coincide with hangups on exits.
Also, I've noticed some stutters in raids (using also Omen). Basically, when moving each few seconds screen would stutter. I have no idea if it's related to Recount, but seeing some other people mentioned it, it may be worth to mention too.
PS: My computer is fairly good: c2d @3GHz, 4GB RAM, GF8800GT, WinXP.
