Seems the newest version of BabbleSpell broke something again, I'm getting this error constantly with the newest revision:
recount\tracker.lua:838: attempt to call method 'HasReverseTranslation' (a string value)
Also, a couple questions that a quick search failed to answer: Does the record buffs/debuffs checkbox do anything other than add a little more information to the death log? And is there a way to get Recount to show the number of times a certain player was hit by a specific ability instead of just the total damage taken?
Guys in general can you do me a favor and state if you talk about live recount or the ptr 2.4 one. It's hard to figure out where the problem is if I don't know which you are refering to.
@Freedan, is that bug for live or PTR? Also currently the buff/debuff filter does nothing and you can click on a player bar to get details about their spell use.
@Ayth: The friendly damage problem was that on live or PTR? Yes melee is white damage, physical is other physical-school based damage.
@Alex: SharedMedia-2.0 contains all the media of SharedMedia-1.0. Just make sure you have the SharedMedia-2.0 installed and activated in the addon window and it should work. The problem you report exists because SharedMedia-2.0 isn't present and loaded before Recount.
We have recently committed LibBabble-Spell-3.0 related fixes (thanks to Saroz). If the problem persists (i.e. that translation is indeed missing you'll have to try to reach LibBabble-Spell-3.0 authors about this one.
On a side note btw, I first did a complete re-install of both Omen and Recount, I deleted previous version, then installed the latest version with externals. But that didn't solve my problem, but after I read that recommendation of the author of Omen at the Elitist Jerks forum about LibBabble-Boss-3.0, Omen and Recount now run side-by-side with no problems anymore.
In the current combat log that's not possible cleanly but good news is that in 2.4 we can do a better job. I'm already working on the totem handling and first traces can be found in the branch version for the 2.4 PTR. More to come though, I have to rework a lot of code to make this happen.
Also there are still bugs on the PTR too but I'm sure they will be ironed out once the patch goes live.
I'm currently in raid with most recent Recount and Omen running without error after the LibBabble-Spell-3.0 change. Can you try update Recount again, we did have an important fix today.
I'm not the original person who reported it but I have the latest versions of Recount and LibBabbleSpell-3.0. It looks like the current errors are in LibBabbleZone-3.0 though:

Great add-on - I just started using it last week and it's been great, but I do have some questions that I haven't been able to dig up answers too:
How is the DPS meter calculated and how does it differ from other DPS add-ons? This is a question that comes up a lot in raids when people argue over whose meter is "right" ;)
How can the player on the top of the Damage Done meter for a single boss encounter show up third on the DPS meter for that same encounter? (this is another one that has been causing a lot of confusion...)
This is a very tricky question for many reasons. On a personal note I don't compare recount to other addons. On occasion I compare recount to WWS parses which is an off-line damage meter if you will.
There are multiple things.
One is that the combat log has limited range. This range is nowadays large (200 yards) but if the range is exceeded or combat messages for some reason don't get to the client from the server, inconsistencies can appear. Some damage meters try to mitigate this via "syncing", but each addon uses a different sync method so even those can have different results.
Another is that there are some things that with the current combat log cannot be traced exactly and addons use different heuristics to deal with them. Example mage's water elemental. Some addons don't merge them but track all elementals as one bunch (we cannot separate them until next patch), some merge them knowing that they make a mistake doing so. This can make up for considerable damage display differences.
As for DPS calculation, recount calculates DPS as damage done while in combat for each individual. DPS is a very poor measure to compare damage meters with, because each may use different methods to calculate DPS and the specific implementation/timing on when to register "in combat" etc can influence the results.
Total damage done is a much more reliable metric because it's independent of timing information.
