I've a strange problem on recount
It seems that datas are recorded normally, the total amount of damage or healing show exatctly but...
for some player i'm able to see all the details, for others only some.
i.e. for warlocks i see for lock A shadow bolt, corruption etc.. for lock B only corruption etc and not the sbolt.. or for some hunters I see all and for others only the traps.
anyone have the same problem?
Is there an option to change the numbers of fights recorded and ''remembered''? Not sure, but it would maybe decrease memory by a bit. Really positively surprised about the memory usage btw, especially after using Assessment the last few days.
@skylinee: Not yet but it's been requested and on the wishlist.
@mordantes: Can you be more specific. I.e. if you ask a hunter in your group to shoot something, the shot doesn't appear in details? It only shows abilities used, so if a warlock never used shadowbolt it won't appear in details.
Thanks, is there also gonna be a on/off switch to turn off the data tracking when soloing/doing BG's since i don't need any data collected when doing that. Or is that what the ''global data collection'' option is for?
Elsia, yes.. an example:
I've 2 lock in raid, for 1 of them I see all the abilities they use, for the other i see only part of the abilities used, they use same abilities (fbolt, corruption, etc etc) but for one of them even if the total damage is exact on details i see only part of them.
A make 200.000 total damage
B make 230.000 total damage
on damage tab I see 200k and 300k, no error.
on detail of A I see all abilities and the sum of them is 200k
on detail of B I see only some of the abilities used and the sum is less than 230k
I would like to know if it is possible to treat your totem damage (Searing Totem, Magma Totem, Fire Nova Totem, Fire Elemental Totem) as your own damage like recount makes with pets.

It's currently impossible to identify owners for totems, so no. To be seen if 2.4 changes this.
Thank you Elsia, I thought totems and pets had the same mechanism. But before I use Recount I used DamageMeters and it can registry the totem damage as yours. I dont know how it does, but I know it works.
I'm pretty sure that Damage Meters never attributed totem damage to owners. It does display totem damage but does not attribute it. There are many long threads begging Blizzard to add this tracking ability to the combat log and it hasn't happened so far, just google and you'll find them easily.
Basically to answer all requests of this type:
Damage meter A can do X and Recount can't, please add it.
Where X is any of:
1) Track non-uniquely named pets and match them with owners (mage, shaman)
3) Lifebloom/earthshield/Prayer of Mending
The answer to any of these is that Damage meter A can't do it properly even if you think it did.
For example Recount does try to fix up lifebloom tracking, but it's not 100%. That's what I mean by "can't do". I.e. there is not yet a safe solution.
These are due to the nature of the information in the combat log and other sources. There are some workarounds, but no really clean fixes until blizz adds the information somehow.
2.4 may change this but to be seen. From ongoing discussion on the WoW forum there may have a difficult workaround solution is 1) and 2) due to syncing GUIDs. I still hope that Blizz will offer a query API to get the GUID to spare us from syncing information just to do proper combat log parsing (i.e. requiring everybody to run an addon for proper functionality).
But to go back to why totems are currently a problem. Say you have 2 shamans in raid and both drop searing. While the totems say "<shaman 1's creation>" and "<shaman 2's creation>" this information is not passed along in the combat log. The combat log only sends:
Searing totem hits X for 200 damage.
Which one was it?
Well there really isn't any way to find out. Hence why no damage meter can currently attribute this damage to owner.

Don't know if this has been reported yet, but I can't seem to find a way to fix this. The menu buttons (except Next) are displaying outside the window to the left. Could be it's not playing well with Skinner or something else? Any ideas?
@Shinja: This is rather bizzare, almost as if you either didn't get the new Recount.toc or the deletion.lua. Can you check if you have the deletion.lua file or check if Recount.toc contains the deletion.lua line. In either case try download Recount again. If anyone else gets the same issue let me know. I tried multiple ways of downloading from WAU and failed to reproduce this unfortunately.
@mordantes: Thanks, one last question: Do some people in your raid use non-english language WoW clients?
@Cinnamonia: This isn't a recount bug. Try identify which other addon causes the issue (could be skinner) and report the problem in the thread of that addon (e.g. skinner).
