With the latest version of Recount a new problem has turned up.
Tracking of absorb shields is totally wonky. Comparing data between skada and recount and cross comparing the healing information with the damage done recount is counting absorb shields as heals when applied. It should treat only the used portion of the shield as healing but instead counts the entire shield as full healing done. The result of this is disc priests can spam shields on an entire group and come out with 50k hps and three times the total heals done of the incoming damage from the fight. It's pretty ridiculous to see a priest heal 3.5 million damage during a fight in which the boss only inflicted 1.1 million total damage on the group. This is just providing imaginary validity for some really obnoxious behavior from some bad disc priests.

The addon should only count absorbed damage from shields, if it counts absorb application for you then you might have a corrupted addon.
After last update Recount spams in chat window "Character "[name]" is not found" for other servers characters in raid group. If I turn Recount off, it stops.

I'm having the same problem. I figured it out because someone else complained about it and the only addon we had in common that got information about other raid members was Recount. I turned it off and voila! no more spam!

Was seeing this even today, with 6.0.3f, in a cross-realm apexis daily raid. Persisted across /reload, had to finally disable it completely. Turned it back on after the raid, and ran several 5-player instances with zero errors.
Other than that single incident, have had no trouble (aside from some interesting default window placements).
I have always wondered what the net result of my Glyph of Healing Stream Totem was:
When your Healing Stream Totem heals an ally, it also reduces their Fire, Frost, and Nature damage taken by 10% for 6 sec.
I also wondered if it could be added to absorbs in some way. It would also help with making my overall contribution to raid clearer. Does anyone have any comments on this or if it was every considered.

I just found out today that this is caused by Recount's sync feature. I turned it off and it stopped.
What does this sync feature do, by the way? Is it something important that I need to have?
Latest version totally freezes the computer as soon as a fight is started in a raid. When Recount is disabled, everything is fine.
Same problem here, even happens in 5 mans. Only happens after I updated to the newest version. My computer is pretty darn high end too, so I was surprised by this (i7-4970k, GTX 970, 16GB RAM, all stable overclocked).
Deleting data makes it better for awhile but it soon returns. Stopping data collection or disabling Recount makes the problem completely disappear.
Similar problems here, we started Kargath and half the raid lagged out. Turned everyone's recount off and no problems. Was working fine until the version released in the last 24 hours. Wide range of different setups.

When i got 367 errors with recount, i deleted it, a friends pc froze, so many others i see have same problem....

it's not like you have paid the developer and you are entitled to anything. But SURE go to Skada, since they don't even manage to track the Mage Crystal in a correct way.
Btw Recount was updated an hour ago and the error is gone.
I downloaded the update today. Tonight in Highmaul I kept getting "Unknown combat log event type: SPELL_ABSORBED" spammed in my log. I've never had a problem with Recount before and want to keep using it. Is this a known bug? Are you working on a fix?

Reinstall the addon, since it's caused by an outdated version or corrupted/old files.
Is it possible (or could zthis be made possible) to have th erecound window/graph appear in specific events, for example I would like the recount bar window to show when in an instance, and the graph just after a boss fight. Of course other events may be usefull like "when in a group",...
Note that "after the boss fight" or "after combat" is different from "hiding in combat" as it would actively show the window even if it has been closed by the user before.

Sounds like a good candidate for a third-party plugin, but probably too much complexity to add the existing options in the core addon.

I don't understand why this woul dbe of that big complexity. Most checks must already be in the code as they are used by the data filtering (like in groupo, raid, instance, raid instance, battlefield,...). The only exception I see is the boss fight which can be triggered by the unit classification API and checking if in combat. Ok, if one want to be complete one would have to scan the targets of the complete raid for example for healers that may not target the boss. But this might be a separate option as well.

Unknown combat log event type: SPELL_ABSORBED. I tried downloading addon again but still get the same constant message spamming whenever in combat.
Anybody have the same spam or know how I get rid of it? Any help much appreciated :)
