Wowhead no longer provides the spell ids of the actual buff effect. It used to be possible to click on the effect and get its spellid, but no longer. So the second is sadly not what allows tracking of the effect. I'll need the spellid of the actual buff proc which will be different than the spell that causes the proc.
in WorldofLogs -> Nature's Barrier - SpellID - 145379. Skada already have this absorb effect, but it is assigned as healing done by tank, not by healer. So, I'm sorry, but I do not know where else i can find spellID, if WOL says the spellid - 145379. Please, try to add this shaman absorb, cuz it's actually increase hps.
Just returned from a short period of trying Skada, and one handy thing it's got is raid damage taken by spell. That is, the main view shows the sources of damage for the entire raid, not per player. In detailed view you could see who took the damage from each spell. Would this be "hard" to implement, or is there a plugin for it or something?
@Tiarz: the latest alpha commit should now track this absorb.
@gresyth: are you using some UI package. It seems to me that it may be setting the row height to non-integer values, which is not a recount bug but a bug in that UI package if that's the case.
@Lombra: Hmm, not sure. I think it should be possible but might requires extra leg-work as currently everything is organized around combatant lists. Don't have disposable time so I won't be adding one any time soon. If anyone else wants to take a stab at making one, they should of course just go ahead.
2Elsia, Nature's Barrier - The absorb it does is added to the healing done by the target with earthshild on it. It's a normal? I think it has to go in healing done to the healer shaman? Or is it a problem in the spell code?
@Tiarz: The combat log provide a source for each spell effect. Addons use that information to attribute the origin of the spell. Clearly the log lists the person the absorb is on as the source of the effect, hence the attribution you are seeing.
In order to understand what is really going on I'd need to see a raw combat log that starts with the effect procing at the healer until it actually procs the shield. Depending on the nature of what is in the log this may or may not be fixable.
Hi there, I am using LUI r627 and it refuses to play nice with recount. It locks my screen so hard that I have the ctrl/alt/del to close down WOW in the task manager. It will run it until I click to open it or even if I just leave it running until I smack at something, it will just lock up. I tried replacing the recount.lui file with a working one, deleting so it recreates it - reloading it in LUI and just about everything else. I hate Skada and refuse to use, I want my recount back. It used to work with LUI until I transferred my toon to a different server.
I like LUI but if it comes down to it, I'll get rid of it and find something else but I thought I might try here first. Any suggestions?
I'm giving the RecountThreat module a try, with Recount 5.4.0a. And it only ever shows my character, nobody else in the fight.
This has been reported before (e.g., #3112 in this thread), but not recently. Has anybody encountered this lately?
If I can find a fix for this, I may also try and figure out how to get it working with two Recount windows, one showing threat and another window showing whatever data I would normally choose to show. Skada was good at that kind of multi-window display, but I never had a reason to try it in Recount until now.
@Phanx: Still trying to reproduce. I get delete requests only at beginning and end of scenarios not otherwise. I have not experienced mid-scenario delete popups. Need more details to reproduce I guess.
I get them in the middle of scenarios/randoms all the time.
Anytime somebody goes offline, there's a popup. When they come back online, there's a popup. Other players porting in or out sometimes causes a popup. Getting replacement players causes a popup.
It's especially distracting when it happens in the middle of combat.
The only checkboxes I have under Data Deletion are "Autodelete Time Data" and "Delete on New Raid" (with confirmation). The others are unchecked because they were too spammy. I also don't remember Recount's deletion popups being this attention-needy in earlier patches, so I'd totally believe that there have been subtle changes to event behavior.
Sorry, I wasn't habitually checking this thread. What Farmbuyer said is correct. Any time anything about the group makeup changes, a popup appears. (Or rather, appeared, as I'm not currently playing the game at all, and my addon-testing trial account doesn't have access to scenarios to see if anything has changed since my original post.)
However, the main annoyance that led me to report the issue was that at the end of a scenario, when I'd be trying to review my Recount data for the run, I'd get a bunch of "new group, want to reset?" popups. After reading Farmbuyer's post, I think it may have been 2 popups for each other player as they left -- one as they ported out of the scenario, and another as they actually left the group -- plus several more popups for no apparent reason, before anyone left, possibly as some event fired to indicate that the scenario was completed.
I'll edit this post later to attach my saved variables file.
By a coincidence I discovered that I need to do guid:sub(6, 10) (and not 7) to encompass all the creature ID bits. I checked with some other addons and noticed that Recount is using 7 too in at least one place.
return GUID and bossIDs[tonumber(GUID:sub(7, 10), 16)]
Might this be a/the reason the saved encounter menu often doesn't work properly?
