As far as I can see, no information is tracked in Recount about the absorption shields coming from Warrior and Paladin tier 13 2-set bonus. Both my friend (Warrior) and I have used this 2-set bonus quite a lot now, and cannot find any information about the absorbs in recount. Neither in the Absorbs tab nor in the Healing tab.
Using 4.3.0 release I'm noticing some class coloring weirdness on the Damage Done window
when scrolling.
A specific player bar "borrowing" the class color of the player above or below or "grey" for no class.
enGB client, no funny characters on the player name.
Attaching images to show what I mean.
No Recount plugins installed.

@pbean: Latest alpha should fix this. Let me know.
@Dridzt: Tricky one. I think I spend some time a while back trying to track this down. It seems to me to be some sort of pathological case of he scrolling code. Recount uses blizzard's template for this. I cannot identify that Recount makes any mistake, so I'm tempted to say that it's actually a weirdness of the template itself. It only occurs for very specific window sizes, and resizing the window variably is a pragmatic, though not pretty fix for the issue. If I have disposable time I may try to track this down some more, but it's a tough one to nail down.

No worries, it's cosmetic only. :)
Fyi, I was never able to get the proper color by resizing the window up or down or scrolling,
it just rotated between 'wrongcolor1', 'wrongcolor2', 'grey'.
Ok had two fights where damage and world of logs didn't match. Originally what caught my attention to all this months ago was when nearly the whole raid was doing more damage than my self. When I checked the logs it wasn't really the case. Just going thru this quickly it looks like just Derrakor damage is incorrect. Is it possible recount is having problems with more than one fury warrior in a raid?
The logs are private so I had to take a screen shot.
Is the World of Logs report showing the message "Info: Statistics are calculated after deduplication." on the dashboard page? Should be in the top box, below the "Included fights".
If yes, there will be differences between Recount and WoL because of a bug in WoW that WoL tries to workaround.

Nothing like that listed on the dashboard on both fights.
Totals are higher for Recount, indicating that WoL somehow counted less. If WoL's mechanism of counting less is legit is hard for me to ascertain.
For many combatants the numbers are identical, which is a good sign. However, as for the speculation of multiple fury warriors having an impact. I am completely unaware of any mechanism in the combat log that can confuse attribution for fury warriors, and recount has no code to even try to find any such confusion (as none exists that I know of).
Confusion can only arise, if a combat log event is not directly attributed, or is misattributed due to a bug in the combat log. So if there is one, you'd have to identify the events that cause this confusion. Again, given the data I see I find this hard to believe.
In short I don't see any clear evidence of a problem with Recount in the data.
Hi. For the last week everytime I run recount wow crashes. I can't send a swatter bug report because, well, like I said. Wow crashes. Is it conflicting with another addon? In short, sometimes wow freezes and crashes as soon as I enter an instance, other times as soon as combat starts. I'm running v4.3.0b and I have tried the no-lib one. this only started happening 5 days ago.
Is there anyway to make the damage from the tenticals that spawn from voice of the deeps weapon show in the details window along with my other abilities?
Details are not merged. I recognize that this isn't super-user-friendly, but reworking this would require a substantial rewrite. If I randomly find a largish chunk of time, I may do it, but I honestly cannot really promise that happening.
So the second best thing is unmerge pets/guardians and check their details separately.
Healers that try to heal off this effect will drop far below others in the healing done .
Would it be possible and feasible to count that as "healing done" as well?
Good question. First, does it show in the combat log? If yes (e.g. as overheal) is that not a viable way to measure it.
I am a little concerned that I try to make encounter-specific changes. I rather have it be designed on sound principles. If there is a sound principle to sort this into healing I'd be happy to consider it.
It is the absorb argument in the healing spell event
12/27 20:47:53.956 SPELL_HEAL,0x0480000002604554,"Farvay",0x512,0x0,0x0480000003434E8E,"Rollghul",0x514,0x0,2050,"Heilung",0x2,0,0,20454,1
Great that's indeed fixable. I committed an alpha that treats all absorbs that are not overheals as effective healing. Let me know if it works as intended. Thanks.
@fateswarm: I assume you refer to DPS. DPS is a weak measure no matter how you look at it, but it is especially weak for short time spans. I do not recommend looking at DPS for very short time spans. This is precisely because a lot of the uncertainty of any DPS formula is in the time quotient and minor variation in a small quotient will create large differences in number. But that is also true for any speed measurement. It takes time to establish any robust over time measures. It's simply not very meaningful to use DPS as a measure for short, at worst instantaneous attacks.
I understand, partially at least.
However, it is consistent in giving a certain number in certain situations so I wonder if it can be improved so that consistency gives another more reasonable number. For example, I kill the same kind of mob multiple times in about 1.5 seconds and it almost always gives about 20k~ DPS MAX. However, the mob is 70k. It comes to reason that 70k/1.5 it would be at least about 40k DPS.
Now it could include (that HP) information on the target, however I do not know if it would contaminate the process. It would however have a potential to give more accurate result.

I hope to see this fixed in a future version. :-) I also created a ticket: http://www.wowace.com/addons/recount/tickets/621-tank-tier-13-absorb-shield-not-showing/
