not really a problem more or a request. i was wondering if it would be able to code recount to fit in a chat panel of WoW's so that way you can just click the chat tab and recount would be there instead of having to try to find a place for it in your UI are it can just be with your chat frames.
as i said just a idea,
Hey man, if you use KGPanels, put the script in the "On Load" event on any panel.
and change the 2 to 5, 6, 7 etc. Then, resize recount and Omen to be the size of your chat frames, turn off all chat events by right clicking the tabs and going to settings, and voila, chat tabs for recount AND omen.
There's a huge ticket backlog on the WoWAce project page for Recount, so I'll just put my enhancement here...
I use a very custom UI and I have my Recount carefully styled to match the theme of the UI. I have my recount bars/backround transparent when not in combat, and data only appears in combat. Once I clear, the frame goes away. This is how I have it customized just by simply changing the transparency values to title/background, however, the top buttons such as the Reset, File, and the Arrow buttons do not have any transparency settings or any alpha settings. When my recount frame "disappears" my buttons are still there, and it looks very awkward and out of place.
I would love to see a transparency option for buttons. Also, I would love if I were able to move and adjust the scale of the buttons. Right now, buttons are the only lacking part of an otherwise highly customizable metrics addon.
I seem to have a problem, everytime I change from DPS to another mode my WoW client stops responding, and I don't know what to do to fix this. I've tried reinstalling it, deleting the recount saved variables, even reinstalling my entire UI. I have literally no idea where to go from here, please help?
I'm using the newest version of recount (March 30th I believe?)
He did say he'd tried deleting the saved variables... but there are two for Recount. The fight data is what you need to reset, and that's in the character-specific saved variables file, not the main one. Also try turning off time data, death tracking, and anything else you don't actually look at.
How would I go about turning off modes? It gets somewhat annoying going through thirty different modes just trying to get to one specific mode. Also, I seemed to have fixed the problem by deleting the SavedVariables in my characters folder. (Why this didn't fix it when I reinstalled my UI, as I copy the entire WTF folder from a few months ago over, I don't know.) But it seems to be fixed now.
My problem with recount is that it seems to be disabled on one of my characters. It works fine on other but this one. Ive tried enable it in login screen but everytime i then log in it resets and disable again. Also tried reinstall it. What can i do? Nothing seems to work
