I know, but im not sure which end we should apply the fix at.
Adding her nonboss-adds to LibBossIds?
I think it's recount that needs a change here, but its up to elsia to decide how to approach this in the end.
While we are at it, can we somehow rename the gunship battle encounters to gunship battle in the report and mark it as bossfight, so its kept if i only keep boss segments?
Is there a way to toggle the graphs visibility via scripting commands? I'm using kgPanels and I would like be able to toggle off the Raid DPS graph when I'm not in combat etc as my UI adjusts when I'm in/out of combat and in/out of a raid at the time.
One can change the font size of main window bars via row height. One can change the font size globally via scaling. How is what you do/look for any different than what these to functionalities already offer?
I am using the Emblem font and it is much larger than most fonts at the same size, so I wanted to adjust it to be two sizes lower than what the scaling logic you're using is setting it to. If I had to keep the font size Recount was setting it to, I would have to make the window take up a huge chunk of my screen just to read what it says.
I wonder if Blessing of Ancient Kings should be removed from RecountGuessedAbsorbs. Val'anyr procs works this way -- when it triggers, the wielder gains the "Blessing of Ancient Kings" buff, allowing wielder's heals to cause Protection of Ancient Kings on healed targets. The blessing itself does not absorb any damage and should not be counted as an absorption ability.
Wow, sifting through 300 replies for an answer to my question is really not getting me the answer i need.
How can I make Recount accurate?
Playing as a hunter, my recount numbers are never on par with what the rogues or warriors are showing. I understand that WoW now has an instance wide combat log range. Before, you were limited to what your combat log could parse by distance.
It would benefit me to know what it is i'm not doing correctly with this addon to always get different stats than what melee ranged classes are getting.
For anyone to answer if that is a problem with recount or not they'd have to know that you and the others showing different results are running with the exact same data collection filters as well as pet merge/not settings etc.
Also is the discrepancy related to total damage done or dps?
I am unaware that the combat log is instance-wide. Compounding evidence of that claim appreciated. Just to clarify, false rumors that the combat log is instance wide has been around for a long time. It was definitely in the false category until 3.3.2. So I'll treat this as false unless I see some credible evidence.
As best I know the combat log is still "all you can see" which varies but is roughly in the 150-200 yard range. Phased content is generally treated as "not seen". If this has changed I'd like to know about it.
I'm not using any modules for recount. I'll list all other third-party addons I use, but this doesn't seem to happen all the time (in 5 mans all the greyed out entries work, and on other characters it works more often than not in raids). Also this may or may not help, but I first noticed this happening around the release of 3.3 and the associated Recount update (although I did update a few other addons at the same time).
Ive been having an issue of late where RC doesnt seem to recognise that i'm in combat.
I have it and omwn in the same spot, omen shows on combat and hides otherwise, recount hides on combat and shows out of combat.
yet sometimes recount just sits there when i'm fighting and wont do anything unless i reboot or reloadui, even then it's not 100%
Is there any way, to show absorb values in the death log?
I know they appear in the combat log, but recount death's doesn't show them anywhere in it..... and it gets confusing sometimes... especially with large disc priest shields, when there's like an 8 second gap between entries in the death log, then bam dead....
Any plans to make it so recount can only record dps and not healing or vice versa. Recount eats a lot of cpu after a while. Just seems pretty heavy mod. I figured thats what recount2 was suppose to fix but guess that project went dead a year ago or so.
