Is there a way to get the Recount Deaths to display in a time based order? Currently they are sorted alphabetically by number of deaths. If that's not possible, does anyone have a recommendation for a decent death report addon?
I wandered across RecountDeathTrack at http://www.wowace.com/projects/recount-death-track/ , which sounds like it might do what I was looking for. But apparently I'm too much of a numbskull to figure out how to use it.
Would anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?
Great, I'll check it out and see how to grab LibFail's localizations. Really I didn't want to do localization for the fails but didn't see any for the lib when I first did the fail module. I think the localizations really do belong with the lib though I can see uses of the lib that never post any fail strings so they may not want localizations (like just un-annotated fail counters).
Maybe an idea is to have a project LibFailLocale-1.0 which contains the localizations and allows projects that want lib fails localized to include it?
That would automatically create one location for fail localization and avoid any duplications.
That was one of the ideas that came up. I'm not sure what the best solution is to be honest, but with people adding fails now - it would be good to solve this issue.
Frankly I think it'd be best to just add localization to the lib itself, but yeah there is a potential for that "bloating" certain though as best I know not yet existing applications of the lib. I.e. all addons that I know use libfail need to localize strings to display the fails.
Else I'm happy to help set up LibFailLocale-1.0 once I'm back from travel in a week. That'd be the no-bloat solution, but less practical because requiring 2 libs for virtually everybody who uses libfail now.
Balcanizing localization is a bad idea really, so any solution that puts locales in one spot is going to be better than what we are doing now, and I think both of the above is workable.

There are what, 15 fails? 20? Adding one line per locale per fail, all of which is completely static, is hardly "bloat". I really think people are far too concerned about "bloat" these days, and have lost any sense of context about what "bloat" actually is.
How would I change the data collection options to make it so I can see how much damage people did to individual mobs e.g who did how much damage to the boss vs padding meters on the adds.
Also can recount show things like how much a mob heals, either from a drain or just a normal healing spell?

Enable collection and display for the type(s) of mob you're interested in; there are separate options for bosses, non-trivial mobs, and trivial mobs. They'll then show up on the healing meters just like players.

If you do what Phanx said then switch to damage taken mode and click on a mob you can see who did the most damage that way, but you don't get details about what attacks.
Question:
I was healing on my resto shaman yesterday and had my Searing Totem out (before I get jumped on, another resto shammy had his Flametongue totem out :P). It did damage obviously and I was showing in the list for damage done. But when clicking on my name, the detail window was completely empty.
I run with Merge Pets checked. To see what my totem did, I had to uncheck it. Then it appeared and I could click on the totem to see the details.
Botom line is: is it intended that with Merge Pets, you can't see the details of your pet attacks in the detail window? Or was it a fluke for shamans only? Or... just curious, it's not a huge deal, thought it might be for a hunter for example.
Could you please add the feature to delete the data with Alt + Click to Broker_Recount like it is in RecountFu?
That's a really handy shortcut and I miss it since my change from FuBar to LDB.
And could you please push a new version of RecountFailBot to include the latest LibFail version? I always get errors at hodir with the current version which are already fixed in the latest LibFail.
Tagged latest RecountFailbot as release for repackaging. On the broker, I'll put it on my pile of requests. I have literally vanishing amounts of spare cycles right now though.
Forgive me for not reading this entire post, but will the Failbot addon work with Ensidiafails? If not which one does it work with? Ensidiafails is the best one I know of especially since FailBot was discontinued by it's author.

@HnyBear
RecountFailBot includes the library LibFail-1.0. You don't need any additional Addon (except for Recount of course).
