I'm subscribed to this thread (as you could probably tell heh).
While you're looking into DeathTrack, is there any chance you might be able to add an option to show what killed the person in a report? For example:
In the above screenshot, it would be even more helpful if it could list a brief reason next to the person's name in a report saying what actually killed them (such as "Hateful Strike 23000", "Flame Tsunami 6000" etc). It shows this information when you mouseover a person in the window, but if it could do it in reporting as well this would make RecountDeathTrack just an incredibly amazing mod.
I could try to help as well, I'm just not sure where to look exactly for which function to modify the reporting and what variable holds the "last hit" details.
Great little mod.
[Edit]: And I did just log into the game a few minutes ago solely for the purpose of dying in Crystalsong and getting a screenshot haha. :)
The tooltip does already show the last damage if I remember correctly. I'll see how to best handle this. It may be worthwhile making this optional because it might crowd the report for folks who just want to know who died when.

Ok found a bug that prevented detail data to not show when it didn't contain count (just amount) information. Is fixed now. This may or may not also have fixed the report bug. Let me know.
Seems to be working now, I'll test it a bit more and let you know.
On a side note, I cast Innervate (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=29166) on another druid in my party, and it didn't appear under the player's Mana Gained (all other spells seemed to appear correctly; Replenishment, Hymn of Hope, etc.).
Would it be possible to include it, and perhaps in parentheses after the spell's name include the caster's name? i.e. Innervate (<caster>).
Edit: Hmm, I made a /combatlog and all there seems to be is the buff application, and buff removal - no indication of how much mana was gained, so I guess that explains why I don't see it in the Mana Gained window. :)
It seems Recount does not catch the new (3.1) Hunters' Viper Sting log entries. They are new as they have both mana loss (target) and mana gain (hunter). Here the COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED parameters :
1238480916,649 SPELL_PERIODIC_LEECH 0x01000000007BF345 Adirelle 1297 0xF13000788E021EFF Ent délié 68168 3034 Morsure de vipère 8 194 0 582
Where "1238480916,649 SPELL_PERIODIC_LEECH 0x01000000007BF345 Adirelle 1297 0xF13000788E021EFF Ent délié 68168" are the usual "timestamp event sourceGUID sourceName sourceFlags dstGUID dstName dstFlags". Then :
- 3034 is Viper Sting spell id,
- "Morsure de la vipère" is french for Viper Sting,
- 8 should be the school of magic (unsure, but this is coherent as Viper Sting is a poison, thus nature),
- 194 is the mana loss of the target,
- 0 may be the power type (unsure, but this is coherent),
- 582 is the mana gain of the source.
I'm not sure if this is a Grid problem or a Recount problem but figured I'd post to find out if either author knew what might be causing it.
First to preface, I use Recount as Load on Demand so it doesn't memory hog in bgs/arena/etc. if I don't care about stats, but do load it for raids. Grid I always have load at log in. (Grid r1174, Recount r1039)
I get this error when I load Recount (w/ libs embedded or w/o) and Grid has frames up on the screen. No error when it's not displaying anything. It doesn't seem to mess anything up that I can tell, but then I do get random black frames on Grid occasionally (until hp is updated from a buff or heal/dmg) and was wondering if this had anything to do with it.
I'm not sure what this problem is, but Recount isn't really set up for LoD. In order to avoid data collection in arena/bgs it has built in filters. Is it really worth it worrying about Recount's base footprint for you?
I came here after doing a search about Healing Stream Totem, because it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Recount correctly records data for HST, labels it as a pet and even attributes it to me ("Healing Stream Totem IX <Renovo>"), but when "Merge Pets w/ Owners" is checked, it doesn't actually merge the HST data into my healing numbers. Here are a couple screenshots of the issue:
I was in Dragonblight, dropped myself from the air to take some damage, put ES on myself and dropped a HST, and then pulled a couple mobs and killed them. Those screenshots are the resulting data.
Despite this issue I absolutely love Recount and I thank you for your hard work :)
@cnote81: That's intended behavior for now. I might merge healing with owners too eventually.
Why is that the intended behavior? It's inconsistent with dps totems (magma and searing are merged with their owners) and misrepresents my overall healing done. Especially with 3.1 coming and HST becoming muchmore used. Just my two cents. :)
Intended behavior as in "this is how it's implemented right now and I do not consider it a bug". This is true for all stats but damage right now. Only damage is currently merged faithfully. Changing this is on my todo list, but until I get to it it will remain intended behavior ;).
