I have been having a problem where recount removes all my data when I die and release. This has happen today and yesterday in ZA when we have been attempting timed runs (so can't hand around waiting for a rez). When I zone back in all my dmg done etc is set back to zero while everyone else's is where they left off.
I'm sorry I can't be more help full in providing error messages or something but I don't know what you would need to help identify this issues that I am having. I update all my addon's once a day they its the most current version each time.
I'll try reproduce this. Most likely it briefly classifies you as not grouped when dead and then deletes your data based on that false classification, but this is a hypothesis. Once I can reproduce the phenomenon I'll know for sure.
I think my problem with people dissappearing is connected to Merlins.
After an Illidan wipe, where everybody runs, I just had me dissappear from my damage meter.
I reckon it could spread through syncing, so that I dissappear on several meters, like I've seen others dissappear before.
EDIT: Could it have anything to do with me not ticking the "Outside Instances" filter and Recount hiding while running in? I don't lose myself each time though, so I really don't know.
How do I get the recount threat module that was mentioned earlier in the thread? I would really love having threat generation displayed by recount.
I tried searching wowace for recount threat, but it just gave some hits for this thread and some addon TOC and stuff like that. Is it perhaps included in the addon currently, and just has to be switched on somehow?
Yes, thanks tons. I think it has to do with this filter, at least code-wise it makes sense. It's kind of hard to reproduce solo as you need to die but at the same time have a combat log relevant event show up after you died and have already released, that relates to you. This would also delete combatants who for some reason you see in your combatlog after you released.
I've committed a fix for this. Let me know if it solves the problem. As a side-effect the recount window should no longer disappear when running around outside as a ghost but dying inside an instance when the hide flag is up, as recount now no longer honors zone changes in ghost form. This will ensure that one still collects data as ghost should there be visible combat log events.
No, the autohiding doesn't cause the issue, or rather it simply can't cause it. This is something that doesn't happen every time, it only happens if you are a ghost and on top receive combat log events that pertain to recorded combatants, this is unlikely as you are out of range usually.
I never saw this phenomenon myself but I can see it happen if people are quick to release and combat log events still trickle in.

Didn't notice how/whether this affected Recount. Using disembedded 76996
How does Recount calculate DPS? I, and others, have commented that someone can have the largest amount of damage done on a fight, but lower DPS than someone else. So I'm just curious. Obviously it isn't a simple matter of dividing the damage done by the duration of the fight.
