k, can you toss me the config for WUU that you're using? I get nothing when I try to update via AceSVN. (Perhaps in a PM, to avoid extra thread clutter.)

The easiest way to do is to delete your current Skillet and do Install from URL: http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/branches/Skillet/lilsparky/ (in WUU menu Addon > Install from > URL...)
If you want to do it manually, Site is: AceSVN and SiteID is: branches/Skillet/lilsparky/
Just one note: WUU 1.7.548 always downloads AceSVN addons embedded = with all libraries included...
(I'm using thread post because I'm hoping it will help more users at once ;))
Really want to try this version of skillet out, but don't really want to install a Svn client if i can help it, will the link on page one first post be updated regularly so that i can keep up with the changes or will i need an svn client?
Tat
my intention is to update the zip and the svn simultaneously. i'm pleased with the current version so i'm going back and fixing things and cleaning things up right now more than adding new stuff. for example, the saved variables files is ridiculously verbose. i'm reworking that whole system at the moment.

hey, that's pretty handy. i don't use wuu myself, but maybe i should.
Yeah, handles everything but ui.worldofwar.net, because they blocked it in favor of their own UI updater (which is currently dead due to infringing code, ironically enough).
I think the problem there might be that I'm trying to cheat, and have both installed. The branch is in the folder "LilSkillet". Just gonna nuke Skillet then and go from there.
EDIT: Okay, it does tend to help if you install SVN before you beat your head against the desk. I thought I'd installed it, but instead installed a Windows shell extension for it. :)
EDIT2: And we have our first customer!

thanks, i'll look into it. i suspect it's the craft vs tradeskill pathways getting out of synch. i'm developing mainly with tadeskills and then bolting that onto the crafting pathway (dunno why on earth enchanting uses a whole different api... oh well).
How about calculating if its cheaper to buy reagents for a craftable item you can produce or the item itself? Maybe with a link to auctioneer.
And one thing i noticed with the trunk version. Discoverys on my Alchy made problems, just to remind you ;)

lilsparky's Workshop (LSW) (adnother lilsparky's addon) can help you with that - it displays reagents cost and product cost and if you see that reagents cost is higher then product cost it means you should buy the product from auction house instead of creating it.
Just a few notes:
* The current version of LSW doesn't work correctly with this Skillet branch. Will be fixed in the future.
* The costs are based on vendor prices (useful for purchases and BOPs), disenchanting (useful for BOPs) and average auction price from Auctioneer/Auctioneer Advanced/KC Items. This doesn't mean the item is currently available for such price.
* It just displays the cost and is not used for crafting decissions. Lilsparky hinted he wants to include such feature.

the discovery stuff should be fixed.
i intend to modify my pricing mod (lilsparkys workshop) to be skillet queue-aware and give hints about what you should do (like identifying queued reagents that are cheaper to just buy). i don't want to make pricing a requirement for base skillet, tho.
Just downloaded today via svn the lilsparky branch. Deleted all previous saved variables and logged in.
On my enchanter/tailor I pulled up Tailoring first and it showed fine. I then tried switching to enchanting via the button shown in the Skillet UI and got the following error message. After this error I wasn't able to pull up any other skill - Tailoring kept showing. (I also have the 'have to click the close button twice to close' problem, but I can live with that until other items are fixed.)

hmm... does it sort itself out after a reload? there still seem to be a few issues with first uses causing some errors.
One more problem with Create/Queue All buttons:
I'm creating Undermine Clam Chowder which needs 2x Zesty Clam Meat. I only have 3 pieces of the meat but Skillet queues 2 runs of the recipe notifying me I'm missing one piece of Zesty Clam Meat. I suggest queuing lower bound in such cases so as many as possible items are created without any errors.
Today I had 10 pieces of Zesty Clam Meat. Clicking Create All queued 10 runs of the recipe even when each recipe run needs 2 pieces of meat (and each run creates 2 pieces of Undermine Clam Chowder) and thus only 5 runs should be queued.

* I've been skilling up Cooking a bit: I had Cooking 13/75. I queued 5 Spice Breads which needed reagents from vendor. I've bought them using Shopping list (works now). But when I clicked Start button only 2 Spice Breads were made and 3 stayed queued. (I leveled to Cooking 15/75 which AFAIK didn't change difficulty of any recipe) I didn't move and no error was thrown.
In happens in each play session during the first recipe run. Each time I log in and queue 5 items Skillet creates just 2 items and stops. Subsequent runs are handled properly until relog (or ReloadUI?)

one of nogudnik's last modifications to skillet was switching the internal counts to be based on the number of items created rather than the number of runs. it's possible that i'm not refactoring the queues properly.

that's weird. no idea why it would do this, unless maybe it's an issue related to the above.

I get the same exact error when attempting to make Superior Wizard Oil. I hadn't had Skillet open prior to attempting to make the oil. I tried reloading my UI and only making one at a time, the error still occurs.

i changed my recipe-to-skill-index conversion method. it didn't make it into the crafting execution part.
Awesome. Thanks for the fix. And yay for being able to edit in Excel where I don't need to figure out which line is 290. :D
EDIT: After much hassle with Excel not saving the file properly (so yeah, don't use it to edit .lua, though it does work to identify the line, use wordpad or someother basic editor to actually replace the line), I finally was able to edit it with no issues.

Ok, I've created new character (Paladin Blood Elf - my main and other chars are Aliance) with only few addons enabled... Leveled to level 8 and learned: Fishing, Frist Aid, Cooking, Mining and Blacksmith and a few basic recipes. BUG!: When I opened Skillet for the first time and it was completely empty - clicking Rescan button didn't help. I've tried Reloading UI (using button in ACP) and it didn't help either. I then restarted WoW and this finally brought Skillet to life.
Only 2 items created bug - more info: After logging in I've queued 5 Spiced Breads and went to vendor and bought the needed reagents using Buy reagents button. I opened Skillet and clicked Start. I've cleared the queue and Reloaded UI. After the reload I've queued the remaining 3 Spice Breads again and tried clicking Start button but only 2 were created and 1 still remains in queue. I've gained skill level on each recipe run (from 1 to 5 now) This is 100% reproducible bug for me.

ATM I have to click twice on the close button (x) of skillet to really close it's window (I don't think this is the expected behaviour, isn't it)?
